Being a man, I made an attempt to raise a pet, I acquired two pairs of Australian Parakeets, why two pairs, because I had read that these birds needed to live in community to reproduce.

Pero tuve que conformarme con ver como los demás las tenían, ni mi padre o que decir de mi mamá, ninguno toleraba la idea de tener uno de estos animales en la casa. Siendo un hombre, fue que hice un intento por criar una mascota, adquirí dos parejas de Pericos Australianos, por qué dos parejas, pues porque había leído que estas aves para reproducirse necesitaban vivir en comunidad.

Mi padrastro en aquel entonces era carpintero, recuerdo que le iba a buscar aserrín para la cajita donde lo tenía, tratando de que siempre estuviera seco porque orinaba mucho.

Otro intento de tener una mascota, fue tiempo después de que mi niño nació, mi chiquitín quería una mascota, como mi padre no tolera los perros, pues decidí por un gato. Dicho gatico me lo dieron en adopción, mi niño se puso muy contento, pero esta historia no tuvo final feliz. El animalito me lo había dado en adopción demasiado pequeña, ni siquiera había aprendido a comer. El final del cuento fue fatal, pues el gatico además venía con diarreas, algo que no hubo forma de pararle, terminando con su corta vida, de él solo me queda una foto que nos tomamos.

En el barrio los amiguitos del niño les habían regalado perritos, por tanto, él también quería uno. Hice una búsqueda en las redes sociales en grupos de compra venta de mascota, pero es decepcionante el precio en que comercializan estos animalitos. El hogar de dicho animalito sería la casa de mi esposa, lugar donde resido actualmente, pues lógicamente para mi casa no lo podía llevar por temas obvios de que allí vive mi padre.

Cariñoso con nosotros y por supuesto le gusta que le sean igual prestándole atenciones. Recién un compañero de la escuela de idioma que está en el mismo curso de mi esposa, que da la casualidad que es veterinario, nos hizo la visita muy amablemente, lo vacunamos para los parásitos. Según vaya creciendo queremos irle agregando alguna que otra vacuna de vital importancia, aunque al no ser una rasa exigente, muchas personas no se toman las molestias, pues si lo vas a tener es para cuidarlo, así que ya lo consultaremos.
