When I lived in Chile, I lived in a house in the country, so it was very easy to go out everywhere and leave Luna in the house. She was happy when she stayed because she swore she was the Alpha of the pack of a couple of giant dogs. The truth is maybe she was because she would hear a noise in the field and she would go out like crazy barking and the other dogs would follow her.

Cuando vivía en Chile, vivía en una casa en el campo, por lo que era muy fácil salir a todos lados y dejar a Luna en la casa. Ella era feliz cuando se quedaba porque ella juraba que era la Alpha de la manada de un par de perros gigantes. Lo cierto es que quizás sí porque ella escuchaba un ruido en el terreno y salía como loca a ladrar y los otros perros la seguían.
For those who don't know Luna is an almost perfect dog and not because she is my daughter, but because people love her, she is a very good companion everywhere, her only defect is that she has a serious emotional attachment problem.
Para los que no lo saben Luna es una perrita casi perfecta y no porque es mi hija, es porque la gente la ama, es una muy buena compañera para todos lados, su único defecto es que tiene un problema serio de apego emocional.
When she goes out (which is every day everywhere), she stays calm, in the back seat she stands at the window receiving the smells that come to her through the wind. And if she goes somewhere, she sniffs for a little while and then just lies down, in fact she usually walks without her leash because she doesn't leave my side.
Cuando sale (que es todos los días para todos lados), se queda tranquila, en el asiento trasero va parada en la ventana recibiendo los olores que le llegan a través del viento. Y si va a un sitio, huele por un ratico y luego solo se acuesta, de hecho anda normalmente sin su correa porque no se aleja de mi lado.

There are supermarkets that allow you access but you can't walk in, you have to carry it in a bag because they don't have carts for it either. Hay supermercados que le permiten el acceso pero no puede entrar caminando, hay que llevarla en un bolso porque tampoco tienen carros para ello. Los supermercados que son certificados Pet Friendly, que actualmente solo hay 2, tienen carros de supermercado especiales para montarlos a ellos. Pero para otros, que son varios, la dejan entrar pero aún no cuentan con un método de transporte cómodo para ellos, por lo que hay que inventar o improvisar algo.
Since I know that Luna is almost a person and that she stays calm wherever I put her, I grabbed a backpack I have that is a bit big and fits perfectly well so I can do my shopping with peace of mind. Yes, I could carry her, but it's not easy to keep her like that for more than 10 minutes because she weighs 13 kilos.
Como yo sé que Luna es casi una persona y que se queda tranquila donde la ponga, agarré una mochila que tengo que es algo grande y cabe perfectamente bien para poder hacer mis comprar con tranquilidad. Sí, podría cargarla, pero no es fácil tenerla así por más de 10 minutos porque pesa 13 kilos.
One day I grabbed the bag and put her in it, although at first it was not easy because she got nervous, but after a few minutes I was able to do it and once inside she just had to relax. In the supermarket that first day, she just stayed calm, so calm that sometimes there are moments that she almost fell asleep, and well, from 13 kilos, I feel that she weighs 70 kilos.
Un día agarré el bolso, la metí, aunque al principio no fue fácil porque se puso nerviosa, pero a los minutos pude y ya adentro solo le tocó relajarse. En el supermercado ese primer día, ella solo se quedó tranquila, tan tranquila que a veces hay momentos que casi se ha quedado dormida, y bueno, de 13 kilos, siento que pasa a pesar 70 kilos.
Just as it is with the bags, it's the same with the grocery carts, if she gets bored, she just lies down and stays there enjoying the ride until I leave. The funniest cart I have ridden her in has been a very small one from a store where they sell household stuff and it is much smaller than her, but she is already used to riding in supermarket carts, so she doesn't care about the size, she just likes to be out in the street all the time!
Así como es con los bolsos, pasa lo mismo en los carros de supermercados, simplemente si se aburre, se acuesta y ahí se queda disfrutando del paseo hasta que me voy. El más gracioso carrito donde la he montado ha sido uno muy pequeño de una tienda donde venden cosas de hogar y es mucho más pequeño que ella, pero ella ya está acostumbrada a pasear en carros de supermercado, así que ya no le importa el tamaño, solo le gusta es siempre estar en la calle!
