Dawno nic tu nie pisałam o whippetach, a warto wspomnieć, że 2 miesiące temu byliśmy na wizycie kontrolnej w klinice kardiologicznej Wetkardio.
Po badaniu okazało się, że podawane leki bardzo dobrze działają i serce Enzo ustabilizowało się, a przepływy zwolniły. Oczywiście nie znaczy to, że choroba została wyleczona – będzie z nami już zawsze, ale przynajmniej wiemy, że robimy wszystko co w naszej mocy żeby nasz ukochany pies był z nami jak najdłużej.
Następnego dnia Schumi również został zbadany. Na szczęście jego serce jest zdrowe i bije jak dzwon, więc odczuliśmy dużą ulgę.
[ENG] I haven't written here about my whippets for a long time, and it is worth mentioning that 2 months ago we had a check-up at the Wetkardio cardiology clinic.
After the examination, it turned out that the introduced medications have been working very well and that Enzo's heart is stabilized and the flows slowed down. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the disease has been cured - it will be with us forever, but at least we know that we do everything we can, to keep our beloved dog with us as long as possible.
The next day, Schumi was also examined. Luckily, his heart is sound and perfectly healthy, so we felt a lot of relief.

Jak się żyje z chorym psem? Prawie tak samo jak ze zdrowym, jednak trzeba trochę bardziej uważać.
Nadal puszczamy Enzo za wabikiem, ale wystarczają mu dwa krótkodystansowe biegi i musi odpocząć.
[ENG] And how this life with a sick dog looks like? Almost the same as with a healthy one, but you have to be a bit more careful.
We still allow Enzo to take part in lure coursing, but he can do only two short-distance runs and he needs to rest.

Musieliśmy również zweryfikować nasze wakacyjne plany. Chcieliśmy odwiedzić Włochy, ale psy kiepsko znoszą wysokie temperatury, dlatego zmieniliśmy cel podróży na Solinę. Okazało się, że również w Polsce może być piękny słoneczny i gorący sierpień, ale na szczęście tutaj upały są mniej dokuczliwe niż na południu Europy.
Poniżej trochę wspomnień.
[ENG] We also had to verify our holiday plans. We wanted to visit Italy, but dogs with heart diseases can't handle high temperatures, so we changed our destination to Solina. It turned out that also in Poland there can be a beautiful sunny and hot August, but the heat here is easier to handle than in southern Europe.
