Greetings pet lovers in the #HivePets Community. Today I bring you excellent news and I want to share with you my great joy since we were able to buy the medicine to treat Pegui's tumor.

  On December 23rd (my late maternal grandmother's birthday), we bought the medicine at the Badam Foundation in Puerto la Cruz. It had a cost of 20$ for each medicine but the vet asked for 2. So it was 40$, plus 20$ for the round trip ticket since we could not find anyone to take us there.

  That same day, the doctor gave us an appointment to give her the first dose. And since last time I didn't take pictures or anything, this time my mom helped me to bring you all this content. Join me to know more details.

  Saludos amantes de las mascotas en la Comunidad de #HivePets. Hoy les traigo muy buenas noticias y quiero compartirles mi gran alegría puesto que se logró comprar el medicamento para tratarle el tumor a Pegui.

  El día 23 de diciembre (fecha de cumpleaños de mi difunta abuelita materna), se logró comprar la medicina en la Fundación Badam ubicada en Puerto la Cruz. Tuvo un costo de 20$ cada medicamento pero el veterinario pidió 2. Así que fueron 40$, más 20$ de pasaje ida y vuelta ya que no conseguimos a nadie que nos hiciera el favor de llevarnos hasta allá.

  Ese mismo día, el doctor nos dió cita para ponerle la primera dosis. Y como la ves pasada no tomé fotos ni nada, esta vez mi mamá me ayudó para traerles todo este contenido. Acompáñenme a saber más detalles.

  As you know, I was extremely worried about her because days before giving birth and after giving birth to her puppies, she had constant bleeding that would not stop with anything. She also felt discomfort at night, because that was when she was most restless.

  As soon as we gave her babies away, we decided to focus on her. Days went by that eternal and full of stress, and helplessness because financially I could not act fast. So I had to wait.

  Si bien saben, estaba sumamente preocupada por ella ya que días previos antes de parir y luego de dar a luz a sus cachorros, mantuvo un sangrado constante que no se le paraba con nada. También sentía molestias por las noches, porque era cuando más inquieta estaba.

  Apenas regalamos a sus bebés decidimos enfocarnos de lleno en ella. Pasaron días que para mí fueron eternos y cargados de un estrés con impotencia porque económicamente no podía actuar rápido. Así que tenía que esperar.

  During those days I had to arm myself with a lot of patience and positivity as you have no idea, because every day that passed I saw her health declining. She was dull, played little, slept a lot, and even left some food in the dish.

  Only occasionally did she show her usual playful personality, but she spent more time lying down than being active. In addition, the smell coming from her intimate area was not normal, it smelled decomposed and she was leaking a lot of bloody blood.

  Durante esos días tuve que armarme de mucha paciencia y positivismo como no tienen idea, ya que cada día que pasaba la veía decaída de salud. Estaba apagadita, jugaba poco, dormía mucho, incluso dejaba algo de comida en el plato.

  Sólo en algunas ocasiones ella mostraba su usual personalidad con ganas de jugar pero eran más las veces que pasaba acostada que las que se la pasaba activa. Además el olor que desprendía de su zona íntima no era normal, olía a descompuesto y botaba muchísima sanguaza con sangre.

  Drako is super obsessed with her, he is like crazy wanting to grab her to ride her when Pegui is not in heat yet. He is also very aggressive with us and also with his little sister Yara.

  To continue to avoid these bad times with him, we have decided to neuter him as soon as possible, so those are my plans for January. The best of all is that Dr. Herbert (one of the best in Anaco), has been very considerate with us, he has been on top of his game. So we wanted to give him a little something for Christmas.

  Drako está super obsecionado con ella, anda como loco queriéndola agarrar para montarla cuando Pegui aún no se encuentra en su etapa de celo. Además anda muy agresivo con nosotros y también con su hermanita Yara.

  Para seguir evitando estos malos ratos con él, hemos decidido castrarlo lo más pronto posible, así que esos son mis planes para enero. Lo mejor de todo es que el Doctor Veterinario Herbert (uno de los mejores de Anaco), ha sido muy considerado con nosotros, se ha portado a la altura. Por lo que quisimos darle un detalle para navidad.

  We gave him a jelly and a small Pan de Jamón courtesy of @gelart. He got a big surprise when he saw this and from his expression, I'm sure he enjoyed it immensely.

  As for Pegui, the treatment was great for her, the change was immediate and for now she has to receive a dose of chemotherapy every Monday. Until the doctor tells us when to stop. As soon as we treat her, I will start making preparations to spay Drako.

  En cuanto a Pegui, el tratamiento le calló estupendamente, el cambio fue inmediato y por ahora cada lunes le toca recibir una dosis de quimioterapia. Hasta que el doctor nos indique cuándo parar. Apenas la tratemos, empezaré a hacer los preparativos para castrar a Drako.

  Seeing such an immediate improvement allowed me to relax. I thought the medication might cause some side effects but the doctor assured us that since it was such a small dose it should not cause any discomfort and it did.

  So all this week Pegui has been super active, she wants to bark, she wants to play, she wants kisses and she is very spoiled. The problem is with Drako that for being like this with her we have to keep them separated. Well, so much for my post, my pack, and I wish you a happy weekend 💕 and a Merry Christmas! 🎄

  Al ver tanta mejoría de manera inmediata fue que pude relajarme. Pensé que el medicamento podría causarle algún efecto secundario pero el doctor nos aseguró que al ser una dosis tan pequeña no debería causarle malestar y así fue.

  Así que toda esta semana Pegui ha estado super activa, quiere ladrar, quiere jugar, quiere besitos y está muy consentida. El problema es con Drako que por estar así con ella debemos mantenerlos totalmente separados. Bueno, hasta aquí mi post, mi manada y yo les deseamos un feliz fin de semana 💕 y feliz navidad! 🎄
