Greetings, community. It is the first time that you publish here, today I am going to introduce you to a dog that we recently adopted. We placed Apolo because we needed its light to illuminate us and draw many smiles on our faces, it came at a difficult time for our family (we were and are mourning the recent loss of my baby), its rays would be that energy that would distance us the days where sadness, melancholy and apathy want to take over everything.

They brought him to the door of the house when he was two months old and his tender look immediately stole our hearts, he needed a home and we were willing to give it to him. There was a very nice little dog who did nothing but sleep and eat. From that moment he received the necessary care and was protected, since we have four cats at home (which are not ours, another long story that we will leave for another day) and an incident could occur. The truth is that, as Apollo grew older, he became hyperactive and nervous. I want you to help me understand it, I know that there are many animal lovers here, it shows in the publications that I have read.

Apollo began to urinate whenever he feels in danger or threatened. Even when we take it by surprise and load it in weight it does it too. I don't understand that behavior, out of nowhere he started with that condition. Not to mention, every time we have to clean the hallway because even though he is very small, he does not control his sphincters, little by little we have been training him for it. Although I confess that it has not been easy.

Another characteristic that I have noticed is that it has too much energy, every time we let it go, because it sleeps in the patio, runs like a runaway horse around the house, jumps on us, scratches us and bites us. With those legs and very sharp teeth I already have marks on the body. He is very playful, but he does not measure himself with his displays of affection, which are very painful.

Sometimes it seems that he suffers from attention deficit. Apolo cannot stay calm for a minute, he is always on top of us, scratching and biting, running from one side to the other. Although he has been punished and spoken loudly, he has not improved. I think it's going from bad to worse. Now he searches the garbage to eat the waste, his hunger is voracious, nothing seems to satisfy him at five months. I remember one day we left the room unlocked, he took out the dirty socks and shirts for us to chase after him. Quite a show.

He also spends his time chewing everything he gets in his way and with his sharp teeth he has damaged containers, cholas, shirts, brushes, cushions. Two days ago he chose to climb on two legs in the kitchen and destroy the glitter and kitchen towels. Also decorations in the room, can not be unsupervised even five minutes. Now we must place everything high so that it does not reach it. We love it very much, but sometimes it exhausts our patience and frustration comes to visit, we must take a deep breath and plan another strategy.

Another element that joins this panorama is that it does not bark like a normal dog, but rather has a shriek and its high-pitched tone pierces our brains. When we bathe him he cries as if we were killing him, he doesn't like water either. The last thing we tried was some relaxing massages to keep him calm, that has allowed him to enjoy his bath a little bit. We continue in treatment, every so often he shakes so that we release him.

The panorama does not end there, now he has fights with the cat, it is very stressful, both animals get on two legs and begin to fight as if they were in a boxing ring. The feline every time she sees the dog becomes aggressive, with her powerful claws she begins to scratch his face, he dodges and barks desperately. They can no longer see or be together in the same space.

I have had two dogs before and neither has had this behavior, I know that it is a carnivore and must go through stages of its development, just like a human. At some point it must mature, we trust that. I still have to read a lot of dog literature on the internet and in the event that it does not improve, I will have to resort to professional instances. I will await your wise advice.

Saludos, comunidad.
