Cat Food Dispenser Review

in #hive-1967082 years ago

A few weeks ago, we bought a cat food dispenser to prepare if we had to leave Rainy alone at home all night or couple of days, so that his food and drink were still available. Evidently, this item came in handy when we were away for 2 nights and 3 days last week.

Previously, we selected several models of cat food dispensers from the marketplace. Then we decided to buy one specific food dispenser that was integrated with the water dispenser to make it more practical.

TESTING

When we bought it, we didn't immediately use it for Rainy. We tested it first to see how effectively it worked.

Water Dispenser

This cat food dispenser can contain 1.5 kg of dry food, and the water dispenser has a capacity of about 600 ml of water.

In the food dispenser, food will come out of a hole whose size is adjusted using a small lever. The bigger the hole, the more food can fall in.

In the water dispenser, the bottle that has been filled with water is then placed upside down, and the water will flow into the reservoir. If the water in the reservoir decreases, the bottled water will flow down, filling the reservoir again.

The test was successful. The food and water dispenser can work properly.

But I wonder what happens if the food runs out. Is it really gone or are there leftovers? I put the dry food back in the box and left a little food in the dispenser.

It turns out that this tool has places that allow food to get stuck in the food box and buckle.

Enough for the test. I put all the food in the food box, and I cleaned the dispenser and put it back in its box.

USAGE

A few hours before we left, I took the dispenser out of its box and filled it up with food and water for a 3-day supply. We also said goodbye to Rainy by saying we would be back in 3 days.

After

Three days later, we returned home. Rainy's condition is fine, and the dispenser hasn't changed much. The food didn't decrease much, only reduced a little on the outside, while the water in the drinking bottle was reduced by half.

Because it's been 3 days without us, my husband immediately gave Rainy 2 packs of creamy treats. And he ate it voraciously.

CONCLUSION

  • The cat food dispenser works well. It dispenses food and water from inside when the food and drinks outside run out.
  • From the outside, the product design is good, but on the inside it has flaws, it makes food stuck in several parts.
  • It is useful for storing food and drinking water if the cat or pet is left away for 2-3 days.

Thanks for dropping by. Have a nice day!

I've been looking into this! It seems more efficient than the bowl one esp since the cat we have is a freelance cat (he comes and goes as he pleases) would be nice to have this set up. Nice review!

Thank you! I'm glad my review could inspire other cat owners. I like the term "freelance cat". In here, people use term "terrace cat" (stray cats come and go to their house, they feed the cats on the terrace).

Nice! I was thinking hmm maybe I need this but then I also thought that would be a perfect way to get my cats fatter. xD

Haha... Yeah, there's a chance that they would eat continuously with this stuff. But not for Rainy, he eats little so I trusted him (it's proven as well) :D And I don't use this product everyday, only if we have to leave him all night or a few days. Thanks for your comment :)

Hahah nice he has more self control than most of humans xD

It is a good product, I liked it a lot despite this fault that says it has inside it seems spectacular to me when we go out all day long and so our Misu can eat when he is hungry. Surely Rainy was sad because his potatoes weren't with him, because he liked his sweets. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thanks for your kind words. Yes, very useful especially when we go out of town and no one to feed our cat. It's my pleasure to share something good :)
