I had the opportunity one afternoon to go downtown to get some things for my mom's bakery and when I left I found a very smiling lady selling colorful chicks, it was very loud and I bought 5 of them, one for each of my children and one for each of my older nieces, the little ones were not walking yet so it didn't make sense. I came home and handed them out and the noises of joy and excitement were not normal but it was a pleasure to give them that joy, I was honest with them all and made it clear to them that their life is very short and that they could not cry when they lose them.
Indeed I did some research and talked to the lady who sells them and at least here in my city Maracaibo the dye or chemical they use to paint them is:
- For the blue ones Methylene Blue
- For the greens and yellows, school tempera dissolved in hydrogen peroxide.
- For the purple ones Violet
They are very strong chemicals that penetrate the skin of the poor little animal and reduce its life to days, in our case the one that lasted the longest unfortunately died on the 5th day of its arrival and his name was pio :(
In conclusion I strongly recommend you not to buy this type of pets are not toys they are living beings and want to grow, invest that money in fish or something you really need, in our case we already have plans for a mini aquarium but for now for reasons of space is a paused project. Bendiciones y todo mi respeto para esta hermosa comunidad, es mi primera vez aquí y hoy quiero contarles mi experiencia con los pollitos de colores.
Tuve la oportunidad de ir una tarde al centro de la ciudad a buscar algunas cosas para la repostería de mi mamá y al salir me encontré con una señora muy sonriente que vendía pollitos de colores, era muy ruidoso y compré 5, uno para cada uno de mis hijos y uno para cada una de mis sobrinas mayores, los pequeños aún no caminaban así que no tenía sentido. Llegué a casa y los repartí y los ruidos de alegría y emoción no eran normales pero fue un placer darles esa alegría, fui sincera con todos ellos y les dejé claro que su vida es muy corta y que no podían llorar cuando los perdieran.
Efectivamente investigué y hablé con la señora que los vende y al menos aquí en mi ciudad Maracaibo el tinte o químico que utilizan para pintarlos es:
- Para los azules Azul de Metileno
- Para los verdes y amarillos Témpera escolar disuelta en agua oxigenada.
- Para los morados Violeta
Son químicos muy fuertes que penetran en la piel del pobre animalito y reducen su vida a días, en nuestro caso el que más duró lamentablemente murió al 5to día de su llegada y se llamaba pio :(
En conclusión te recomiendo encarecidamente que no compres este tipo de mascotas no son juguetes son seres vivos y quieren crecer, invierte ese dinero en peces o algo que realmente necesites, en nuestro caso ya tenemos planes para un mini acuario pero por ahora por razones de espacio es un proyecto pausado.
