Good day, amazing people of hive blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is my pleasure to participate in this week's prompt #indiaunited topic.

Food is one of the essential things every human needs; it helps us to function very well and helps us to stay healthy. When it comes to favourite foods, everyone has that particular meal that is their favorite and can gladly eat it over and over again without getting tired of the meal.

My favorite food.

My favorite meal is Nigerian jollof rice. I can eat this dish over and over without getting tired of it. Jollof rice is a popular dish enjoyed by Nigerians. Once you have tasted this dish, you will not wish to stop. Believe me when I say it is very asty. There is no week that my mom will not cook these at home. Growing up, I fell in love with the dish so much that if I don’t have a taste of jollof rice, I will not be okay.

The Nigeria jollof rice is a very popular meal. I have a friend in Ghana, and the very day she tasted the Nigeria jollof rice, she was rushing the food like someone who has not eaten for days. She was like, Babe, this meal is very delicious. She will like to learn the recipe from me.

This is one meal I can cook with joy; it is very easy to make, and it doesn’t take much time. I will be sharing my recipe on how I prepare my Nigerian jollof rice.

Ingredients used In preparing Nigeria jollof rice

rice
Groundnut oil
Tomatoes paste
Onions
Any protein of your choice
Bay leaf
Pepper
Crayfish
Salt for taste
For any seasoning of your choice, I make use of turmeric powder, garlic, ginger, thyme, and rosemary.

Steps on how I prepare this delicious meal.

Step one: I cook and fry any protein of my choice and set it aside.

Step 2: I parboil my rice wash very well and set it aside.

Step 3: In a clean pot, I pour in the groundnut oil I used to dry my protein. I need the flavour coming from it. I go in with my onion and bay leaves, which I allow to fry for about 5 minutes before going in with my tomato paste, my pepper mix, ginger, and garlic. I fry for a bit before adding the seasoning, turmeric powder, thyme, rosemary, and salt.

Step 4: I pour in my protein stock and add my crayfish. I allow it to boil for some minutes before going in with my already-waste rice. I add a little water a little bit above the rice cover and allow the rice to cook. Once it's well cooked, your Nigerian jollof rice is ready to be served.

Believe me, this meal is very delicious. You can say no to one’s being served to you. Whenever I eat this dish, I take away all my worries and balance on the floor on the fan with my cool fruit juice.

If there is something I learned very well from mom, it is how to prepare Nigerian jollof rice. I can make this meal even in my dreams.

What is your favorite food? How much do you love your favourite food? My favorite is Nigerian jollof rice. I would like to know your favourite meal. I recommend my favourite dish to you; if you have not tried this meal, please do.
