So I completed the power-up for the Feb month just now. And the Badge does look good on my hivebuzz profile. Along with that, I completed a power-up month too. That means you are not just powering up on the power-up day but you power up every day of the month. This isn't an easy task especially when you are talking about someone like me who isn't a consistent guy.
But this is a surprise badge and achievement. This badge symbolises that I was able to show up daily for 31 Days on Hive to log in and power up. And not going to lie there were days when I logged in 2mins before the timer hit out for powering up. I was sick for a good 10 days at the beginning of the year and bedridden for half of them, but still managed to take a few minutes of my time to do the power-up. And I am proud of this achievement.
And before you say anything. No!! My account hasn't blown up with this power-up month. I was doing the bare minimum to hit the target which means 1 Hive per powerup. And Trust me there were days when my account was dry and I had to sell of few of my precious IUC tokens to make it. And after 31 days here we are with a lovely Badge that says, this guy showed up daily. Nice!! What is more interesting is only 31 such badges were issued and I hold one of them. I feel like Ash Ketchum earning his first badge.
Now with all this, I was thinking of giving the Monthly writing badge a try. It requires the user to make a post every day for a month. And my brain thought what better month to try than February with 28 days. And trust me I am not taking this lightly. Given that I almost missed power-up by a few minutes, there is a good chance that I may not make it. But the monthly badge deserves at least one try. So I am out for this daunting task. Let's go.
