The Grass Airdrop

Greetings!

When the Grass airdrop started—meaning when it was newly introduced for people to register and earn—I was fully aware and registered. However, I found it challenging to understand the system, especially since it was primarily designed for use on a PC or desktop. Anyone wanting to participate on a phone had to use a browser with extensions.

The requirement for a specific browser extension was a bigger hurdle for me, especially since the Mises browser was recommended. To use it, I had to make Mises my default browser, meaning I’d have to leave Chrome, which I was very familiar with and where I had all my login details saved. Nevertheless, I gave it a try and started mining, but the inconvenience of switching between Chrome and Mises was overwhelming. I kept toggling between the two browsers until I eventually heard about some changes in the system, which came with many crypto terms I struggled to follow. That was when I decided to stop, switched my default browser back to Chrome, and found peace.

I stayed away from Grass for a long time, but then, earlier this month, I started hearing about the Grass launch. I asked friends about how they were using it with ease, but none gave me a reasonable answer. So, I turned to YouTube—something I should have done in the first place, but it didn’t occur to me. There, I discovered that I could use the Mises browser for the Grass airdrop without needing to set it as my default.

In my blogging on this blockchain, I use a browser instead of an app, so this discovery was a relief. I logged into the Mises browser with my blockchain details, connected to Grass mining, and, since I often use the browser, the earnings kept accumulating.

It’s a shame I figured out this method so late.

Anyways, when the allocation process was announced, I checked and saw 3.34 Grass as my allocation. I wasn’t disappointed, as I knew I hadn’t done much to earn more. To claim it, I needed Solana for the gas fee, so I got $1 worth of Solana transferred to my wallet, which allowed me to complete the claim. I then transferred it to Bybit and converted it to USDT, as the price at that moment was favorable—slightly over $1, which was better than the initial listing price. While there’s a chance it could increase to $2 in a few days, weeks, or months, I just wanted to sell it to recover the amount I spent on Solana for the gas fee.

How much Grass did you get? I’m quite sure I earned the lowest amount.

The mining is still active, and I hope to earn a reasonable amount this time around.

Thanks for reading.
