I was going through my phone gallery and came across this picture I took about a year ago. The memories that flashed through as I stared at it made me smile and I knew immediately that it was something to put to writing for documentation, at least to be reminded of how I felt when looking at the picture.
This picture was taken on the 30th day of August, 2022... Yeah, will be one year by next month 30th. The picture may seem like it's just of clouds, people and maybe some editing which I didn't do on it but here are the memories I'm reminded of from this picture.
My graduation day.
I wrote my last examination that day, you needed to see how excited and nervous I was about that exam as it wasn't an easy one to prepare for but somehow, I felt so happy and relieved I got it done with and was free to celebrate my freedom from studying too hard. The day marked my journey to another phase in life and so it is a memory to keep.
Family came visiting from far away.
It's still surprising to me that my family made it a must to go celebrate with me on the day not minding the distance and cost of transportation. They made my day with their presence, I can remember we took a lot of pictures with so much happiness. Having my family around, giving me smiles and making me feel less stressed on that day was memorable for me.
Met and celebrated with close friends.
Some of my school friends came around to celebrate with me too, I had close course mates who we all celebrated together about the graduation. We danced, we shouted, we laughed and we did a lot to feel good about that day... It was indeed a memory to keep.
And the random things I can't forget.
There were a lot going on that day if you look closely at the picture. We had a lot of people whose families and friends came around to celebrate with them. Then we had the funny graduates who kept risking their lives with rough driving as they tour round the school to announce that they've graduated. We also had the ones who brought lots of foods to share.
I didn't do much as a graduate that day but these little memories were more than enough to keep that day a memorable one for me.
Image used is mine.
