Temple Visit Day

in #hive-1976853 months ago

Day before yesterday I made a plan to visit some of the Temples in the city. This is my normal routine when I am in the city. I am not a very religious person, but I do love the vibes of the Temples. They bring in lot of good energy and peace and calmness to the mind. Though some of these temples at certain hours are very crowded and it is difficult to visit them, but still there is some vibe in it even visiting it in the peak hours. I visit some of the Temples together as a ritual.

The first I always visit is my own religion Temple, which we call it as a Fire Temple. I am a Zoroastrian and we worship God through Fire. All the principles of our religion are connected with the elements of nature. In our Temples there is a Fire which keeps burning 24x7 and people of other faith are not allowed in to the Temple. Reason being that we have some rituals to perform before we enter the Temple and those rituals cannot be performed by people of other faith as those ceremonies are done for us in our childhood time itself. Once the child reaches puberty the ceremony cannot be done. So every parent of our faith makes it a point to do the ceremony of their children by the age of 7 to 9.

After visiting my Temple then I made a visit to the Shiva Temple, which is called as Babulnath Temple. This Temple is on a hill and my home is just below the Temple. I can hear all the prayers at any hour in my home and I have developed a deep connection with this Temple over the years. Whenever possible I make a visit.

This is the Temple, inside the Temple is a consecrated Shiv Ling which is worshipped by the devotees. On a Shiv Ling as a general practice people offer milk, flowers and other offerings but since past few years this Temple has banned the offering of Milk and this is a huge step taken. Because tons of milk goes into a drain as a offering on a daily basis and it was such a sad sight to see. The inside of this Temple is all in gold plating and is a real beautiful sight.

After worshipping here then I made a visit to another small Temple of Krishna, which is near to my home. No pictures I could click there. After worshipping there then I proceeded to the Siddhivinayak Temple, this is the most famous Temple in the city of Lord Ganesha and people have very strong faith of this place. I am a follower of Lord Ganesha and hence always very strongly connected to this place. This Temple is always very crowded so while visiting here I have to make sure that there are no other agendas as I never know how much time it will take.

I reached the Temple at a very good time, when the Aarti was going on. An Aarti is a prayer chanting done by the priest of the Temple on specific time of the day. During this time no worshippers are allowed in the temple and we have to wait outside, because of which there was a huge crowd gathered. Anyways I had to worship, so I waited in the line for around half an hour and then the Temple entry was allowed. Again, no photography allowed here in the inside of the Temple. Even though it was crowded I had a good view of Lord Ganesha and could spend a couple of minutes inside. After that the security guard was asking me to move since there were many people waiting to worship.

Awesome and we'll done on your tour. The architecture and history of such places is just so inspiring. What to speak of the culture and philosophy behind these temples.

I'm also loved to visit the church in the city ma'am if I'm in the city. Visiting it makes my travel complete. 😊

What a fabulous day you have visitng different temples in the city. I was amazed with the information you've shared being a Zoroastrian. Thank you for sharing wonderful temples in your city.

Wow dearest, it's real amazing how temple visits bring peace and positive vibes. Each temple has its unique rituals and energy. The buildings look so ancient. Great photos dear !WINE

Thanks for sharing some information about your religion. I agree with you that visiting sacred places could somewhat invite positive energy, calmness, and peace. I can sense that you are very faithful to God even if you mentioned that you are not very religious.

I can relate very well to the calmness being in religious buildings and spaces provide. And I'm also happy to have learnt about other religions and temples, especially yours.

I honestly wish to understand more though. Does it mean you can't be Zoroastrian once you become an adult? Like you can't leave your faith and become a part of this since you didn't do the ritual in your childhood?

It feels good to visit temples
That temple looks very tall
It must be the cynosure of that location

It is great to know about the rituals of Zoroastrian. Temple visit gives positivity and calmness..

You are so lucky that your house is near the famous temple of shiv ji, everytime you hear the sound of artis and mantra...
