What an unexpected victory for the Reds today. Honestly i never saw this awesome victory coming, but then i also saw it coming because as a Liverpool fan it is expected of me to stand by my team at all times, we win together and lose together, that’s the joy of having a favorite football team. I haven’t enjoyed football in long time like i did today, I couldn’t miss any of the halves because the match was just too interesting to be missed. I watched from the starting whistle to the final whistle. What a delightful moment for the REDS…

Hala madrid was in the mud today, throughout the match i never saw anything interesting in our opponents, they had the player but then very few of them performed quite well. Even their two key players who started the match didn’t play well, they were both lost in the game, they eventually found their equals and lost woefully. I am sure you all know who those two players are; I’m talking about Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham, these two players played full time but it felt like they were missing, not only were they missing in action, they were missing in all aspect…

I expected this match to be more challenging and hectic than this, the only challenging part was the first half, Real Madrid played some really good game with us in first 45 minutes, they were challenging but only to an extent. I guess the match was like this because there was no VINICIUS JUNIOR & RODRYGO, these two players were missing today because of their injury, they are also a crucial piece of the Madrid team. If only we had those two players in the game, the match would have been very difficult to predict. More goals could have been scored…

Madrid really had it tough today. They got confused at some point and didn’t know what to do again, it was at that point they were trying to look for penalty, this happened after MAC ALLISTER scored an opener for us to put us a goal ahead of Madrid. Thanks to the wonderful assist from the youngst defender in the game; CONOR BRADLEY. I’d love for him to be given the player of the match title, he did well today, especially with his sliding tackle against Mbappe while he was trying to secure an equalizer. He really did well for the team….

The first 45 minutes was pretty intense and the referee couldn’t resist giving out a couple of yellow cards. Nunez, Acensio, Gravenberch and Mac Allister were the first players to be issued a yellow card, this happened in the first half of the game…

Nunez could have scored two goals in the first 30 minutes of the game, but then luck wasn’t on his side today. The first goal came in about 7 minutes into the second half. This deadlock breaker made the game more intense, not to long after the full goal, Madrid were awarded a penalty because of the slight contact from Robertson in the keeper box. Fortunately for us Mbappe failed to convert the penalty kick into a goal, which made the score still 1 nil…

We were approaching the 70th minute when Salah was brought down in the box and was awarded a penalty, thinking this would be our second goal of the game. Salah took charge of the penalty kick and also lost it. He played it against the pole, the score remained the same…

Cody Gakpo who happens to be the super sub got substituted in and changed the game completely. He was brought-in in the 68th minute. Cody managed to secure a second goal with a header in the 76th minute, the assist came from Andy Robertson. We dominated the game completely, the first half and second half were dominated by us greatly, we had more possession in the both half…

In summary, Liverpool is currently maintaining an unbeaten record since the Champions League competition started, 5 games 5 wins 15 points. We are gradually approaching the next level…

In conclusion, we are getting closer to the Cup, i hope we keep going this way. Though we still have a lot of competitors to face, but then I believe in the capability of my team. Hala Madrid has been served hot hot. Until next time…
