In whatever you do, always ensure you do things that will make you cherished and special in the eyes of other people, because they have a reason. When you get to meet someone new. A friend invited me to a place some weeks ago, and initially I had no plans to go there, but I just had to give in to the request because of my friend, and I accepted to go with her. When I got to the place, they were having a program that was related to a musical jamboree, and I was like, I do not want to come because it will take some time, but since she already told her friends I would be coming, there was no other choice.
When I got to the place, I noticed they had some issues setting up their sound mixer, so I just went to meet them and asked if they were having issues with the sound. They said all the issues they were having, and I helped them figure it out within seconds. They were very happy, and they said they wanted me to come more often to their programs, which they do every two days of the week.
I declined and refused their offer because I wanted them to know the offer they were getting, and they should not just get it on a platter of gold. So I decided to distance myself for some time, and they started calling me, and I was now giving them time for meetups, so I can't just go there at any time they want because I also have places I attend. So, in whatever you do, always make sure that people value your effort, and not just give it out on a platter of gold; it might not be valued.
