Showing kindness to my wife

It feels really good to be kind to others. It can brighten someone's whole day. I remember a time when I did something kind for my wife, and it made her so happy.
This lovely necklace was very pricey, but my wife had been eyeing it for a long time. She never requested that I get it for her personally. She only said that the jewelry store was always so gorgeous as we passed by.
One day, I decided to surprise her. I went to the store when she was at work and bought the necklace she wanted. I could barely wait to give it to her.
That night, when she arrived home, I informed her I had a small gift for her. Her face when she opened the box had the most adorable expression. Her hands went to her mouth and her eyes widened. Though I could tell she was excited, she said, "You shouldn't have!"
She immediately put the necklace on and admired it in the mirror. The big smile never left her face. She gave me a huge hug and thanked me over and over. I felt so warm seeing how happy my small act of kindness made her.
She kept pointing to the necklace and told me how much she loved it for the remainder of the evening. I noticed something she wanted, therefore even though it was such a small gift, it meant the world to her.
The beauty of kindness is that it doesn't necessitate significant action. Small actions can have a significant impact. Even small gestures of kindness, like helping out with a chore or moving forward in queue for someone else, can have a big impact on people's lives.
Being kind makes the world happier and more light-filled. It fortifies ties and creates relationships between people. Being kind to others makes them feel important and taken care of. More durable than any material possession is the cosy feeling you get.
And kindness has a way of multiplying. When someone is kind to you, you're more likely to turn around and be kind to someone else. It creates an uplifting ripple effect.
My wife's bright smile that night after my small act of kindness is something I'll never forget. I'm sure she'll do something similarly kind for me down the road. Because that's how it works - the kindness you put out comes back to you eventually.
So spread kindness whenever you can, even in little ways. It costs nothing, but it could make someone's entire day. A sincere compliment, letting someone get your parking spot, doing a favor without being asked. These things add up and make the world a brighter, lighter place.
