Hello everyone.
Hello Agriculturist and welcome to my blog.
I am delighted to share my bountiful harvest with you.
I planted my Dioscorea dumetorum also known as three-leaved yam around March of last year.
It is popularly called Ona in Igbo.
It went through first and second weeding.
It was planted in a large farm, I hardly carry my Android mobile phone to farm.
I could have showed you the Large farm, the three leaved yam wasn't the only thing in the farm.
It is a mixed farming containing :
Maize
Melon
Cassava
Local Beans
Pumpkin leaves and
Three leaved yam.
We first harvested Maize, cleared it, leaving space for other plants.
The next crop we harvested was Melon, then local Beans.
The pumpkin leaves are still there but in small amount because of the dry season.
We are currently harvesting Three leaved yam, leaving only cassava in the farm.
The Maize, melon and local Beans wasn't much, it was very little.
It made me so sad and unhappy.
But the Three leaved yam is much, that's why I am happily sharing it with you.
Here is a picture of the harvested Three leaved yam.
This one will be washed, boiled and eaten.
While this other ones will be used for the next planting season.
Thank you very much for visiting my blog and reading my write up.
Do have a blessed day.
All photos are taken with my Android mobile phone.
