Introduction
Good day to everyone, a week had passed in the city and it's time to update the progress of my city and the things that happen in the city. Last week I manage to get my city balanced in terms of income and this week, let's look at the market trend on the NFTs that I am interested in for my growth.
What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.
My City
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment, so glad that I am all balanced right now.
At this moment, everything look fine but one thing that I missed is holding a bigger amount of Young Citizens as it has been a while since I have seen a young citizen move into student life.
New Updates from the Developers
Before we jump into monitoring the cards that I interested in, would like to share an update which the developers shared earlier this week.
A new combined card large university campus is now available through combining loads of stuff together and give a 2% tax refund which is something very substantial for big players. For people like me, maybe not so soon.
And for tax reduction buildings, only one building of each type reduces taxes. Law firm also saw a change in the tax reduction % to 4%.
NFT Monitoring
While everything had come to a state of balance, the city cannot remain stagnant and I am looking for ways to further upgrade my city.
Economist
In terms of workers, my favourite will be Economist which give both income and tax refund.
Ask price is currently at 1869 SIM with minimal changes since month start. An expensive investment for worker but that's one of the key ways to grow and strengthen the city vs just getting a worker with no tax refund or income stats at 1100 SIM.
Research Centre
I roughly took a look at the combined cards, most of their recipe will need some form of technology and hence I should no longer procrastinate and start planning to get a Research Centre as soon as possible.
Ask price currently is at 1489 SIM. While the price looks rather attractive, in order to get things moving, we need to add in the workers cost as well and if we use Economist for this, it will be an additional 34k SIM. So to get this going, I will need to get some SIM to get this facility into my city.
So far, these 2 are what I am monitoring at this moment so as to bring progress to the city. I do hope I can further grow the city once I am able to get more technology, but first step will be to setup the Research Centre.
Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 187,512 SIM. The growth in SIM mainly came from NFT sales and next will be from the daily SIM income.
Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.
With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:
Assuming no increase in Sim Power, I will get 0.90 liquid Hive per month. The numbers continue to increase and building towards the goal I had for using the liquid Hive to fund for Hive Power Up Day as we inch towards a 1 Hive per month from just this earning. At this moment, it look a little too small and insignificant to being able to get 10 Hive per month, however as I continue to grow, one day I know I will reach there.
Closing
From an immediate plunge to no income and subsequently gaining back recovery to restore the income, it did taught me a lot and now I also need to look into further growth in the city. Many things to look at and many things to prepare as I continue to work on developments in the city. I am considered a late player into the game but I will still build up my city.
