The search.

When you search for something with a clear mind, there's a possibility of finding it.- Quote by Me.

“What do you mean my mind intrigues you?” Rebecca asked, a bit offended.

Getting himself seated, Dr. Robert faced Rebecca.

“Have you ever tried to see this as a blessing instead of the curse you deem it as?” Dr. Robert questioned Rebecca with a glint in his eyes.

“You lost me, doc. What blessing is there to a life filled with pain and a nightmare?” Rebecca questioned.

“You said it yourself. You once wrote happy stories because you lived a happy life, but after your parents' gruesome death, things changed, and now all you see is darkness.” Standing up from his seat, Dr. Robert moved around as he explained with his hands.

“You have a fascinating brain, and I'll love to see what's inside.” Dr. Robert spoke, stopping in his tracks, and he turned to face Rebecca.

Shaking her head, Rebecca spat. “You are a mad man. How can what brings me horror gladden your heart?” Rebecca asked with her eyes blazing hot.

Standing up from the chair she sat in, she was blocked from moving further by Dr. Robert.

“I never said you could leave.” Dr. Robert said sternly.

“You can't stop me from leaving. Now, get out of my way.” Rebecca said, standing her ground.

“Well, I thought you'd understand, but it seems it has to come to this.” Dr. Robert said, unmoving.

“Come to what?” Rebecca questioned, but before she could blink, a hand hit her neck vein, sending her to deep slumber and left her wrist bead shattered.

An hour must have passed or maybe a few hours as Rebecca slept like never before.

Opening her eyes a little, her head hurts so badly, and her throat burns.

Searching her surroundings, Rebecca noticed where she was laid. The cold bed sent chills down her bones, and she noticed her hands were strapped down on the bed’s iron like a notorious criminal held captive from the good people of the world.

“I see you are awake, little bird.” A familiar voice said.

Opening her eyes wider, Rebecca was faced with Dr. Robert, who was holding onto a needle.

“Where am I?” Rebecca asked.

“My office. I have a door that leads down here in my office. It is where I experiment on people who I find… fascinating.” Dr. Robert replied with a smirk.

“You are very sick in the head. What are you planning on doing with me, you deepshit.” Rebecca spoke menacingly.

“Me? No. I am not doing anything to you. You are the one who needs to do something for yourself.” Dr. Robert replied.

“Do something to myself? What do you mean? Do you not think my friends will look for me? You coward.” Rebecca spoke with a smile.

“I know you only have one friend, and she is out of the country with her fiance. You know, the day I saw you at that charity home. That night, I was intrigued by your beauty. But then, when I asked people around about you, they all had something nice to say, and I did a little digging about you. I saw the news of your parents' death and that of your grandma.” Dr. Robert replied, moving around.

“I did more research about you and got to know about your friend. Your life's story yesterday proved the rest to me and also the story I read. I can't believe you can communicate with your character's. Your brain… there must be something in it that makes it tick. Don't worry, I know you didn't tell your friend about coming to my place or about your drugs and nightmare. If you had, her boyfriend would have recommended you to someone he knows. So, you are stuck with me.” Dr. Robert added.

Walking close to her with a needle in his hands, Rebecca watched as he injected the content into the drip attached to her hand.

“What did you inject me with you fucker!” Rebecca asked, trying to pull herself out of the strap.

“There's no need to fight it. Very soon, you'll be out of strap. I added hallucinogen into the drip. It should make you succumb to my will… Very soon.” Dr. Robert responded.

Scared for her life, Rebecca whimpered deeply hoping someone will find her.

Days…Rebecca couldn't tell how many days had passed. She had lost track of time and her brain hurts. The drug kept wearing her down, breaking her mind.

She looked at her surroundings and saw the chain on her hands and legs. After the hallucinogen in her system, Dr. Robert had taken her off the bed and chained her to a wall instead and every hour or so, he would come give her more and also read her story to her, commanding her to speak and act out the next chapter, but each time Rebecca had always fought despite the pain she felt.

“I see you are awake. Let's continue from where we left.” Dr. Robert said before opening his laptop to read more sentences.

As he read, each sentence brought pains to Rebecca's mind and she doesn't know for how long she's going to fight it.

Jisoo

It has been three days since Jisoo came back with her partner and Rebecca's device has been unreachable. She had checked on her everywhere she could think of but everything was futile. Police have been notified and still, nothing.

Walking into Rebecca's room, Jisoo sat on the bed as usual and cried again. Her voice was lost and she felt like dying if it meant Rebecca would be safe.

Resting her head on the pillow, her eyes caught one of Rebecca's purse. “This was the last purse she went out with.” Jisoo said, picking up the purse.

The moment she opened the purse, she saw a container of drugs inside. She knew Rebecca wasn't a big fan of drugs, so she called her fiancé, Raymond, and told him about the drug before sending him a picture of it.

Setting her phone down, the phone rang, showing an unidentified number. Picking it up, Jisoo's demeanor changed as a spark of hope ignited in her heart.
