Haven't made a poetry post in a few days, don't want y'all getting too tired of my work 😬😂😋 Figured it was time for a new one though. Just a very short poem I wrote when I was feeling hopeless one day 😅 Hope you enjoy, and thanks for reading!

Love Is A Star I'll Never Reach
Love is a debatable thing, but I see it as a star,
Shining ever so brightly, yet still so very far.
You reach out for its warmth, not knowing it’s just a glimmer,
An old photograph of a past, that was long ago reduced to cinder.
Your hands grasp only air, and you fall flat on your face.
You hear the world laugh at you, for reaching for its embrace.
You lay there for awhile, staring at such a beautiful starry sky.
You know you’ll never reach it, so you just lay there and cry.
