Jane works in a bookstore as an assistant but her passion has always been about traveling around the world. Being confined to her present job due to lack of funds to live her dream life, she spends most of her time thinking of places she does love to visit.
On a certain morning and on her way to work, she saw a poster with a photography contest announcement. The grand prize for the winner restored her hope of traveling around the world. Throughout work, she was fantasizing about how she won the grand prize. As she journeyed back home, she stopped in a store to get a camera and hone her photography skills. As one who wants to travel to the Moon and sun, she needs to be good with the camera, coupled with the photography contest, she took photography as a life, snapping as much as her eyes could behold.
The competition is drawing close but she is yet to get that one perfect shot to submit. Depressed, she sat on the balcony, thinking of where she should go for the shot. A serendipitous event occurred. Her neighbor's cat, a mischievous tabby named Whiskers, leaped onto her windowsill, knocking over a vase of fresh flowers. Startled, Jane instinctively snapped a photo of the commotion, capturing Whiskers mid-leap, with a backdrop of vibrant petals suspended in the air.
Something about that image struck a chord within her. The accidental blend of motion and stillness, chaos and serenity, embodied the essence of life itself. It was a breathtaking moment caught by chance, a pure manifestation of serendipity. Without a second thought, Jane printed the photograph, carefully packed it, and submitted it to the photography competition.
Life resumed its normal routine and she continued to improve in her photography skills. The grand prize will be the fulfillment of her life dream and so she is always on the lookout for the mailbox tone. The very day she had decided to give up on hope, fate kissed away her tears, reviving her hope from that serendipitous event. She won the grand prize of a one-time trip around the world. She couldn't believe her eyes.
A new chapter of her life was opened. This time, she was in a world that she believed was her world. Before she left for the prize, she bought some food for Whiskers. She knew that the cat was part of God's plan to get her to her dreams.
