The weather is good for a walk alongside the beach
It was just yesterday that I was giving myself a speech

"Some moments last, some don't matter. Mistakes are bittersweet.
I don't want to be forgotten. I fear too much heat."

Out of the blue, I see you sitting watching the sunrise
I step back, almost run away, but I see your eyes

I feel no rules in my mind when I look at your eyes
I dream quietly under the sun of your invaluable price

I promise this is the last time I let her drown me undersea
Yes, I knew you make me lose the person I used to be

I closed my eyes under the hot summer day
You kissed me and my old self started to fade away

It started raining in my heart, it burned my mind
Now I understand why and how mankind evolved

I raise from the ashes, I am under your spell
Tears dropping from my eyes, I feel every cell

I am born again, I couldn't fight your light
I held your hands with all my might

"You said, let's play a dangerous game!
Let's suppose there is nothing to claim!"

You disappeared when I counted to three
And I remembered you said you wanted to be free

Where is my old friend?, I lost him in a summer haze
When no one was looking, I vanished in his maze

Sort:

Some very sentimental and melancholic verses for the past that left clear memories of times. I really liked the part about: '. I lost it in a summer mist."
