Thanks for Working on the POB Reward Problem!

I would like to thank the #hive-engine team for releasing the ScotBot #POB rewards the other day.

Watching the HIVE Tribes systematically implode has been really sad. I consider #POB to be the flagship of HIVE's second tier blockchain; so when it stopped paying the rewards I started dispairing about the future of HE itself.

I assume that POB has been trying to transition from ScotBot to SMT as was indicated by the last post on the @proofofbrain account dated last year.

I discovered something interesting in my research of POB. HIVE Engine Explorer shows a huge number of "TOKEN CONTRACT" transactions going to the POB account.

My guess is that there is some sort of configuration problem that has the rewards going to the minting account rather than the author and curator accounts.

That is a guess. I've never really figured out the code for HE. I haven't found the code for either ScotBot or SMT.

Anyway, I would like to thank the HE team for working on this problem.

Burning Some POB in Celebration

The @buynburn account transfers the HBD and HIVE it earns to HIVE-Engine. I then buy and burn HE coins. I will burn a small stack of 165 POB after publishing this post. HE Explorer shows that I have burnt 335 POB to date. The account is limited by the rewards it receives. I am likely to burn more as the coin price gradually recovers.

Yeah pretty disappointed in POB. They hyped it's halving event up for years, then the year it actually happens they let the frontend website die. To add insult to injury, around this same time the POB rewards just stop coming in. Glad to see that the rewards came in, but still not confident in the viability of this community in the long run. We can still see the frontend here: https://outpost-proofofbrain-dknkb.ondigitalocean.app/ however login and wallet doesn't work. Wish they would get this fixed and back up on a domain.

ProofOfBrain.blog works as does VYBrainium.com

As, I understand a new group has taken rein of #POB. That's why I created a Thank You Note. It is a pain to take over a program that was messed up by another developer.

A large number of Tribes have failed to date. I found #POB troubling because "Proof of Brain" is a core theme in the HIVE-Ecosystem. Users mine the token by proving they have a brain ... either by posting or curating posts.

The failure of the tribe undermines the concept of the tribe.

BTW: I never really understood the hype behind the halving hype. Halving only really has an impact when the token is widely accepted as a currency. POB is not really being used as a currency.

I wrote this with my account instead of @buynburn so that I could end the note with the ALIVE command.

I haven't gotten any pob rewards since that last distribution. I've claimed the rewards through hive-engine, but they are not showing up. Hopefully this starts working again?

It appears that the rewards distribution is down again.

The distribution isn't working for several tribes. My guess is that there is a general problem with Hive-Engine.
