In KBK we are looking for a new formula of being a user of Hive

EN: To be honest, I have mixed feelings after the publication of our proposal. On the one hand, there were a lot of positive comments under it, often from people with whom I had no contact before. Some of them stressed that it was very well prepared. Some others wrote that there should be more such sites. So it seems to me that there are people on Hive who are aware of the uniqueness of the Kingdom (even if they've never been there), which comes from what @blind-spot talked about during Wednesday's live stream. KBK bridges the gap between on-chain and off-chain. But on the other hand, after almost two weeks of intensive campaigning, we have only 19% of the required Hive Power. How is this possible?

I think the main reason is our mistaken assumption that publishing the information on Hive would be enough for it to reach people. However, it turned out that appearing in trending and PeakD Daily Top was not enough. So were 35 reblogs and a dozen articles on proposal.

This only reinforces my belief that promoting Hive as a blogging platform is doomed to failure. And I don't even mean that in the age of AI it slowly ceases to have any value. First of all, I mean that actually a very small part of the users are active. And even if someone publishes something, practically no one reads it. Just look at PeakD on “Most Viewed Posts.” There are articles there that have ~40 views. If any one has 1000 it's a big celebration. Now let's compare that to the reach that is on X. That's probably why many Hive users are most active right there. In this situation, I forced myself to set up a Kingdom profile on X. Maybe this will finally help promote our proposal.

Nonetheless, I am still hopeful that we will succeed in getting DHF support. The real gamechanger could be the Hive Coding School and the start of work on new unique applications tailored for NGOs. And it is the uniqueness that is very important here. I am reminded of my conversation with @engrave during HiveFest. He had exactly the same observations as me. Hive doesn't have any original app that isn't a copy of something we know from WEB 2.0. It's time to finally change that. I think the Kingdom will be an ideal testing ground for this....

KBK bridges the gap between on-chain and off-chain.

Miał dokładnie takie same spostrzeżenia jak ja. Czas to w końcu zmienić.

Getting attention of people is increasingly difficult. There is so much competition for our attention.

The illusion of movement on Hive is created by automatic upvotes. Many new people post something, see 200 “likes” and think they have reached a large audience. And in fact, their article was often seen by less than 10 people.

Getting attention is one thing, but with so many people allowing their vote to be used by proxy, the gene pool of influential stakeholders gets even smaller :-(

Sorry to hear that the proposal hasn´t been getting the support it needs :/ But there is still some time ;)

Having similar venues all around the globe would be amazing. Should they all be funded by DHF though? Maybe showing how large share of the budget KBK generates itself would also help - at least for the cultural and social part, the app development is obviously just a cost.

The KBK is a large project and generates large costs. $30K per year. However, our proposal does not cover basic costs and is focused on promoting Hive. In other cities, the costs could be much lower. There DHF could be good for the very beginning. But the goal should always be self-sustainability.

It indeed should :)

It's really hard to estimate how many real people got aware about the proposal as there's no way to indicate the lack of interest in it. I mean,I think you reached enough stakeholders, maybe they just don't want to support it. You never know if someone didn't vote because he didn't noticed or just decided to ignore it for any reason, unfortunately :/

This may be the case, but I hope it is not.

I think it is a superb, well-prepared and well-thought-out proposal and should be something the whales get behind. Sadly, Hive suffers from apathy amongst its smaller stakeholders leaving its large stakeholders to basically control the whole shooting match.
I desperately hope you can get this proposal through, might I firstly suggest asking @valueplan to assist you with funding and secondly, aggressively lobby the whales around discord. Also, perhaps ask Splinterlands to sponsor your venue. Surely they have a little change out of the 2780HBD they are being given.
Best wishes and good luck. I've seen the post, your place looks amazing :-)

Thanks for your kind words! @ValuePlan has helped us a lot this year. Unfortunately, it does not cover labor costs. That's why we prepared a proposal. It's a pity that not everyone understands that places like ours are a huge opportunity for Hive.
