I'm not very technically sound when it comes to the Hive Blockchain but last night when reading my blog I noticed something was off and I didn't know just what. Until it hit me. My header is not the one I placed there. Well, I did place it there but I changed it many years ago to something else. In fact its been so long ago that the header that is suppose to be displayed but isn't has also been there for years. This has me puzzled because I certainly didn't change it back to the old header I once used. The header (cover) that is suppose to be displayed is a historical display of what the Splinterlands Ranked page use to look like with the big "Battle" icon and chest display. In fact the image that is currently displayed is an image that I don't even have the file saved for anymore so I wouldn't be able to revert even if I wanted to. So far I did some minor investigating and this is what I found. On all other front-ends that I checked so far: Ecency, Peakd and Inleo my header is as it should be. Looking in my profile settings the correct image upload is there for the header that is suppose to be displayed. But for some reason or another my header was reverted backwards.
The header that's suppose to be showing
The header that is now displaying
As noted, after noticing the header change on Hive.Blog and not some other Front-Ends I did the next logical thing which is to check my profile settings. This is where things get really puzzling. The image upload in the settings section of my Hive.Blog blockchain account is the one for the first header displayed in this post. The one that is suppose to be showing as my cover display on Hive.Blog but isn't. In other words the image that is currently displayed isn't even saved to my profile settings. How long has this been before I noticed it? Honestly it could be very recent or a handful of days. I have also noticed some other things like less incoming votes/auto-votes.
Of course that could be because of many reasons. I don't want to make any assumptions considering the header itself would be plenty reason as to why that might be considered what is displayed on it. The votes themselves aren't concerning but the potential reasons as to such happenings could be. I very well could be over-thinking this but I thought it best to make a post just in-case another reading this experienced the same. Give your utilized front-ends a look to make sure the same hasn't happened to you. This is no knock on the cover itself that was originally created by richAtVNS, they did an awesome job with creating the image. Its just not fitting for the Hive Blockchain which was the reason for me changing it years ago in the first place. I thought about blotting out the obvious before displaying it here but decided against it as its the work of another and because I didn't want to misrepresent the header itself. This leads me to the question, has anyone else experienced this over the past days/ weeks or at all? If so did yous find out why such a thing happened? Possibly a slight glitch in the matrix? If my header reverted back is it possible other stats can be to or have already done the same? Your input is greatly appreciated. That's it for now, signed a slightly confused yet curious @rentmoney.

Image Source Disclaimer: For the purpose of making this post make sense I'm going to leave the header up for the next 24-48 hours or so before changing it back. I'm also not sure what tags to place so will be using #support and #witness tags which remind me I need to recast my witness votes sometime in the next days as they expired.
