Hello SPIers, its been almost 10 months from we put down a preorder for the new Solana Chapter 2 phone. We got in during the "founder's round" for $450, which has recently been closed with the "early adopter window" opening for people to get in for $500. There are 4 tiers to the pre-sale (i love how they can milk 1 presale in 4 sections, lol)
They have come and said that they will be calling the phone the Solana Seeker phone instead of the Chapter 2. They are sticking with their estimate of a mid 2025 release. Im not going to go into great detail about the actual phone itself. It'll a mid-range phone so the same as any other phone out there but this will be have a built-in wallet and a bunch of other features making it blockchain-friendly.
Why would SPI want this?
To make money of course. The first Solana phone came with a bunch of airdrops and NFT's so the hope is this 2nd Solana phone will contain some airdrops as well. The actual phone can sit in the box and be sold off in 20 years when it's a piece of history at least rare. Some paper BTC wallets sell for crazy money.
Now, the Solana Seeker has not been released yet but people that have bought into the presale received a "pre-sale" token and these presale tokens have started to receive airdrops already. We dont have access to these airdrops yet as far as I can tell and will gain access when we receive the phone.
There is a website you can check. On the left-hand side are all the airdrops the Solana Saga 1 phone has received and to the right is all the airdrops we have waiting for us as Solana Seeker prebuyers.
You can see the total value of our waiting airdrops are worth $302 at current market values which is not too bad considering we have paid $450 so far for the presale and there's a high chance more tokens or NFTs will get airdroped to this before the phone is released.

I thought that be an interesting post to share today because it's a little out of the normal and different. As said above it'll be months before we get the phone and im sure its release will be delayed as well. As long as it's released before the end of 2025, we should be ok.
