Sometimes I have the feeling that we, Hiveans, live in a kind of bubble unknown to the rest of people.
Our efforts, although still few, to make our project known have turned out to be unproductive in terms of adoption, and what surprises me the most is discovering the success and the number of services created in which it is promised to earn some money if you do some other task, in many cases precarious.
Browsing through YouTube, I found a famous Spanish influencer, who is quite well known for his contributions regarding methods to earn money on the web and in the blockchain, this guy has more than 2.5 million followers only on YouTube so you can imagine that he has quite a bit of "power".
The last publication of this gentleman was titled "I test 21 Apps to Earn Money" (translated from Spanish).
In this video, Adrian, that's his name, summarized the test he had done testing 21 internet services that promised to make you money online for doing simple tasks, which also take up a huge amount of time, such as surveys, watching videos, clicking on ads, receiving emails, renting your IP or part of your internet bandwidth.
He had also tried blogger sites like "MEDIUM"...
The results he obtained were very marginal in all of them, dismantling all the theories that you can make money online from home doing nothing or simply writing your blog...
Obviously, sites like "MEDIUM" can generate some profit, if you are consistent and your message is attractive in the long term. Still, most people extract between zero and no profit regardless of the effort applied.
While watching this video, I kept asking myself, "why the hell does NOBODY find HIVE interesting?"
As I've already said, this guy is an influencer known for his investments in all kinds of blockchain shit...
How is it possible that such a person hasn't come across HIVE at some point?
And if he has, why the hell has he dismissed it?
In the past, I used to reassure myself by telling myself that we were probably still very early in the adoption curve and that this gave us a competitive advantage over those of us who were already "working" here... but as time goes by, I'm realizing that adoption isn't coming as I imagined and I wonder why...
We look like lepers on social media despite our efforts, it seems that people see us as a Ponzi, even though we're not, I'm sure of that.
Or, perhaps, I rather think that HIVE follows values that are not shared by the majority of the audience... Effort and the consequent reward are valued less and less... what most people are looking for is the immediate reward with the minimum contribution... an objective that very few people reach and not for logical reasons but for pure gambling in most cases.
Suddenly, and when writing the last lines, I realize that what is important in HIVE is its RESILIENCE to survive each one of the Fomistic tendencies that arise from time to time... you see how all the fevers of the last years are going, PUMP and DUMP...
On the other hand, in HIVE we endure and we benefit from better times while we build in worse times.
Surely 7 years in HIVE are not too many... surely we still have to eat a lot of shit for them to finally discover us...
