It has been exactly 27 days since I shared my first post. We can almost call it a month. During this time, I wanted to write about what I have been doing on Hive and my thoughts for the future. Perhaps this post will reach other new users like me and inspire or provide ideas to someone.
What I have done in 1 month?
- I have 14 followers
- I follow 32 people
- I shared 120 posts, 14 of 120 posts are in the form of blogs which I shared and 106 of them are comments I wrote on other contents I read.
- The amount of HP and HBD I have earned from my posts so far is as follows;
17,596 HBD + 8,161 HBD (will be deposited to my account within 1 week)
52 HP + 22,725 HP (will be deposited to my account in 1 week)
This means that within 27 days, I managed to earn 150 HP based on my performance, which I find quite motivating considering I started from zero. As my interest in the platform grew due to my discoveries here, I decided to buy HIVE to be more beneficial in other communities as well. Initially, I purchased 1515 HIVE and powered it up. Then, I bought an additional 500 HIVE and powered it up too, bringing my total power up to 2015 HIVE, excluding the initial 150 HP. The average cost for the 2015 HIVE was $0.32825 per Hive. Currently, the updated price of HIVE is $0.362793. So, thanks to this investment, I am not only contributing to the growth of my HIVE account but also earning a profit in terms of dollars. Although I don't plan to engage trading, it's still nice to see this positive outcome.
Which Communities I Discovered
Pinmapple, Photography Lovers, Foodies Bee Hive, OCD, Wednesday Walk
During this one month period, I focused on researching communities that match with my content and understanding their rules and systems. As my content mainly revolves around travel writing and sharing photos of the places I visit, I first discovered the Pinmapple community, which is a perfect fit for my travel posts. Additionally, since our original photographs complement our travel writings, I found the Photography Lovers community. As we sometimes share food photos from the places we visit, I also came across the Foodies Bee Hive community. For supporting original content, I found the OCD community, and I have received support from there occasionally. Another community I found is Wednesday Walk, where I can combine my travel writings. It's a wonderful concept where we can share the beauty of our surroundings while walking, and I used this community in one of my posts and was quite satisfied with the experience.
Hive Pizza
Before all of these, when I shared my introductory post, I received a warm welcome from the Hive Pizza community. As a result, I joined their Discord server, where everyone was incredibly helpful and responsive. They didn't leave any of my questions unanswered and provided me with all the information I needed about Hive. It was truly a supportive and informative community that played a significant role in helping me understand Hive better.
The Man Cave (BRO)
I heard that communities on the Hive blockchain have their own tokens, so I conducted further research on this topic. As a result, I came across The Man Cave (BRO) community and their Discord server. Joining this community was an eye opening experience for me, and despite being new, People in this community were surprised that I discover it within a short time of one week. The community members warmly welcomed me, and they provided valuable insights into the various tokens on the Hive blockchain, their purposes, and how they are utilized. This helped me gain a better understanding of the Hive ecosystem and the functionality of different tokens.
LeoFinance
Discovering LeoFinance started with Leo Threads, which is similar to Twitter in some aspects. I noticed that the reaction time here was exceptionally fast. Whenever I asked questions, I received rapid responses, and the engagement level was impressive. Not only that, but I also realized that I could earn Leo tokens through interactions on the platform.
Upon exploring the blogging aspect, I observed that crypto and finance-related content were predominant. Considering my development on the Hive platform and my desire to share my insights about Hive, I decided to publish my content through this community. LeoFinance provided a perfect opportunity for me to engage with like minded individuals and share my thoughts on all things related to Hive.
Peakd
Discovering Peakd was a result of others sharing their post links with the Peakd URL. I noticed that Peakd provides more functionality and a user friendly interface compared to hive.blog. Moreover, the "payouts" option in the wallet section allows me to see the total amount of rewards that will be deposited into my account within a week.
Ecency
Over the past month, I have been looking for a way to stay connected to Hive on my phone while spending most of my time on the computer. That's when I discovered Ecency. I found that Ecency offers a smoother and more user-friendly experience, both on mobile and desktop, compared to other platforms like Peakd.
One of the features I really liked about Ecency is the ability to view a list of my community tokens and easily claim them within the app. It made managing my tokens much more convenient. Additionally, Ecency provides users with two options to promote their content. To access this feature, I needed to have Ecency Points, which I learned about. After earning enough Ecency Points, I decided to try the boost service for the first time.
Boosting my post was a great experience because it gave me the opportunity to showcase a post that I had put a lot of effort and passion into, but had not received much attention or any comments with a $0.00 reward. When I used Ecency's boost service, my post's reward increased to $1.00, and it gained more visibility. This increased exposure helped attract more attention to my post, and I was pleased with the results.
In conclusion, Ecency has been a valuable addition to my Hive experience, allowing me to stay connected on the go and providing useful features like managing tokens and boosting posts for increased visibility. I am satisfied with Ecency's services and will continue to use it to enhance my Hive journey.
My Delegations
I delegated 1000 HP to @ecency to earn 100 Ecency points daily, allowing me to comfortably use the services offered by Ecency.
I also delegated 150 HP to @brofi (BRO) because this community has been helpful in assisting me in my learning process, and I wanted to show my support. As a result, I earn passive BRO tokens daily.
For @ocdb, I delegated 150 HP to earn passive income and to support this account that promotes original content, including my own.
Similarly, I delegated 100 HP to @leo.voter to earn passive Leo tokens.
Lastly, I delegated 100 HP to @hive.pizza as a token of my appreciation for their warm welcome and the quick responses to my questions since my first day on Hive.
What's my future plans?
I have set a goal to achieve greater growth every month compared to the previous month. This month, I can see that I managed to achieve a growth of 150 HP. If I can achieve a growth of 300-500 HP next month, I will know that I am doing some things right.
As a user, I feel happy when I receive attention and engagement on the post I put effort into and share. I believe that other users feel the same way. Being someone who enjoys reading, I spend a lot of time reading posts throughout the day and try my best to leave thoughtful comments. I know that these comments make happy the authors. Additionally, even though my voting power is not significant at the moment, I hope to reward great contents with even small upvotes in the future. Actually that's why I initially purchased 1500 HP, but I realized that the change from 0.00$ to 0.02$ in my voting power wasn't that big. Then, I understood that this is a long journey, and I will work towards gradually powering up my account to ensure that no effort put into a post goes unrewarded.
As I continue on this journey, my goal is to support the Hive community, engage with content, and contribute to its growth. Slowly but steadily, I hope to make a positive impact and create a rewarding experience for both myself and other content creators.
