I did some nice meditation last night, before going to bed, using mantras for the 7 chakras. I had a bit of a problem with the focus, but overall, I think it helped me to sleep better. The alarm woke me up in the middle of the REM cycle though (middle of the dream).
And on the second idea mentioned yesterday, I did find a nice course to study, called Mental Health and Nutrition. It is about improving nutrition in a viable and safe way, in order to prevent, avoid, treat, and lessen mental illness. Seems quite interesting. and I will deal with Module 1 later today.
I decided to start to make my life a bit more interesting, so next time I go to London with business, I joined a cocktail masterclass, for the fun of it. Will this be useful? I do not know. Will this be fun? I bet. I just received an invitation from one of the companies that I invested in it, Notes Coffee Roosters and Bar, via Crowdcube.com. I wonder if Crowdcube is still alive, last time I use it it was before Covid spread. Wow, not only they are still here, but they went multinational. Interestingly enough, out of 22 investments that I did back then, I exit from 5 of them, and 7 of them dissolved, 10 are still up, with the best of them being Crowdcube itself (£70M valuation) and Monzo (£221M valuation). Far in the third position is Freetrade with an £18.5M valuation. A few years ago my bets would have been on Pavegen as my best investment, a company that is creating tiles able to transform kinetic energy into electricity, you walk on their floor and you create electricity, imagine this on a busy road, market, or airport. Yet, they only reached £16.5M in valuation. Still, 4 good once out of 22, this is close to an 18% success rate. Not too bad. Not too good either.
Other than that, two other issues require my attention, the state of my joints, especially elbows and shoulders, as I experience some mild pain, and the fact that I still want to lose a bit of weight, successfully, but I need to train a bit more for this one, eventually looking for something boosting energy at the mitochondrial level. I wonder if there is a way to get rid of the faulty mitochondria and build some new good one? Further research on that.
Morning ramblings, my wildest ideas seem to come in the morning, and my monkey of a mind is jumping from one idea tree to another. Not bad for the start of the day, or week? At least here where people seem to count on Sunday as the first day of the week. Growing up, Sunday was the last day of the week, and Monday was the first. But on official documents, my company is choosing the other way.
And with that, I stop here for the moment. Have a beautiful day, and see you again tomorrow,
George
