Today I started the new year right and powered up 200 HIVE as my contribution to #hpud. This marks my highest power up for the event, as it's been quite a while since I've been able to participate at anything more than the starter 10 HIVE level.
The title of this post was inspired by hearing a passing car blasting the 80s hit song "Back in the High Life Again" by British artist Steve Winwood. I thought it fit this post to a tee and it feels good to be back!
In order to do this I got creative with some assets and decided to put them to work in a different way. I'd forgotten the request to write an #HPUD post over the years along with your powerup, so decided to do that too.
High Life
This marks the first time in awhile that I've been able to publish more than one post in a day, so I'm happy about that as well.
As I received the notification from hivebbuzz in my last post, I was drawn to the small print link at the bottom titled: 'Hive Power Up Month Challenge - December 2024 Winners List'
Hive Power Up Month Challenge? Hhhhmmmmm... A challenge inside a challenge! So I decided to take a look. The rules were pretty simple:
- do a power-up of at least 1 HIVE or a 100% Hive Power post every day of the month
- do not powerdown
Got it!
I'm assuming the 1 HIVE powerup is per day for the entire month, right? As for the other option, I already set most of my posts to 100% powerup, so between the two, this looks doable as well.
The winners list for December lists 33 names. That's a pretty exclusive club of Power Up Month badge winners, and I'm thinking about making a play for it as well.
So this post will be set for 100% power up, and with my 200 HIVE contribution, it looks like we're off to a good start. The big question is can I post every day for the month without fail? I've done it for a week over the years, so I'd have to simply string together 4 of them in order to qualify.
Besides increasing my Hive Power, This powerup also allows me to increase my delegations to such worthy accounts such as The Ink Well, where my delegation supports creative short story writers, and OCDB, which manually curates good content on Hive as well as supporting the onboarding of new users.
These are pretty worthy causes, and I encourage you to consider supporting them as well.
I've also tried repeatedly to support the following proposals, but "Approve: false" notice in hivestats when I try to vote for them in Ecency:
Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at 6:16:42 AM Approve: false Extensions: [] Proposal Ids: [331] Voter: evernoticethat
Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at 6:16:30 AM Approve: false Extensions: [] Proposal Ids: [329] Voter: evernoticethat
I've never had a problem before when voting for proposals in Ecency, so if anyone has a solution as to why these votes aren't going through, that would be great, as I'd really like to support @arcange and @hivebuzz.
Well that'll be all for this post, folks. #HappyNewYear and all that jazz, and I look forward to a healthy and growing Hive ecosystem for 2025. Hive to the Moon baby!
