About Me
I am Jelvis Marc 20 years old, from Calamba,Laguna,Philippines I am still a student and I still have a lot to learn, I'm college student taking the course of Computer Science, Unfortunately During the Outbreak of Covid-19 Students can't go to school, But that unfortunate time did not stop me to continue my studies, I study hard at home, do research, took opportunity of time being lockdown in our house to study and learn more. During my research I learned about Crypto, and I also learned about play-to-earn games in crypto and it really make me research more, That time I only learn about Axie infinity, but the investment is very High and I mean its really a big amount of money, and so I continued my research and found out about @splinterlands. Where I have the opportunity to earn while playing the game and what makes me jump in to is that the initial investment is 10$ to buy Spellbook, that when I get interested in Splinterlands, Before putting my money on the game I did more research about the game and how it works, I did not invest right away I need to learn more first, So after researching more about the game I decided to keep half of my allowance to invest to this game. It took me 2 weeks to have my 10$ worth allowance, but I was really determined to get to this game, Maybe It's an opportunity for me to earn while studying and help my parents with our expenses and after the long research and waiting for me to have a 10$ keep money My Splinterlands journey began.
My Splinterlands Journey
I was really amazed about this card game, The First lineup I learned is the Earth element and Mylor as the summoner then after playing for many time I learned other lineups like the water lineup using Alric Stormbinger as the summoner and bortus, What really makes me excited in every battle is the mind game, I have to predict or assume the lineup my opponent will going to use and build a counter lineup. and also the most exciting part is opening the reward chest, which sometimes I got Lucky to get Gold foils. I can say that my sacrifice in keeping half of my allowance to invest here is really worth it and all I earned in the game the part of it I gave it to my parents to help pay our bills and keep some for myself just to reward myself of all the efforts, Sadly the price of $DEC is low now but I know that this game has still a long way to go and the community is is good, the dev's are very approachable and also update announcement on discord about what is happening to the game and the plans. @cryptomancer is one of the people that is always helping me in discord when I run in to some problem, I'm not sure if his discord username is the one I mentioned, But if someone know please mention him, because I really want to Thank him for the helps he did.
My New Journey
I've learned about hive blogs on our splinterlands Filipino community, and I learned that There are weekly contest In splinterlands were I have a chance to win Booster packs. And I'm every excited to have my entry there specially in the art contest and show my little talent to the community.
After reading the newbie guide and the post of sir @castleberry about on how to get started. I decided to start blogging.

Mainly the contents in my blog is about splinterlands for now, but also want to learn more about other communities.You can look forward for my contents about splinterlands Fan art or Splinterlands battle.
I do have some art knowledge but I still don't have a knowledge in digital arts, But I'm glad that I can enter in the contest even if its a hand drawn.
I'm very excited for my new journey here in blogging and I want to learn more at meet more great people in the hive community.
