Bought some new golf clubs today.

They will make all the difference.

The world is very serious today so I'm sick of looking at Trump posts, trump meme posts and people worried that the world is about to burn down. So fuck it, going to focus on my golf game this year while the world burns down around us.

Might as well go out swinging. Literally.

I've been playing the game since i was small because my father played it. I play it now to get away from my kids. Ironic really. But it's a great way to get out and about in a busy life.

I don't play often anymore because of life but I still love to get out there when i get the chance.

We have two local golf societies both 5 minutes away in either direction and in my wisdom I joined both. It's easier and cheaper than joining a club with one game a month over the summer. My days of playing in the cold and wet of winter are thankfully over.

The two societies tend to operate on opposite weekends so i have a choice of either one or both depending on my schedule and where the are set to play. It's a great option to have and since both are based out of pubs they tend to involve a bit of extra fun after the golf.

I like my clubs but the irons that I have were bought second hand about a decade ago and it's time for change.

I didn't just go out and buy a random set but I got them fitted to suit my style and my game.

They bring you into a virtual golf set up and analyze your swing and your style before selecting clubs that will match your game and strength.
Once you pick the clubs that you like the best and suit your game you can then get the length and loft set as well.

Not the cheapest set but they were 40% off which took the sting out of it since they are last years edition.

If all of this can't fix my game then i don't know what will. The goal of getting fitted is to optimize your equipment for your specific swing and playing style, which can lead to better consistency and performance on the course.

Now I'm just looking forward to getting out on the course playing again to test them out.
