2025 - What a Year to Be Alive!

Hello 2025!

"D's Disarray" - pen, ink on cartridge paper and digital after effects (20XX)

What a year to be alive!

Is this the year where everything finally boils down to two impending decisions; a time to fight, or finally a time to die?

I don't know but I wish I had more time to write and make art. I started this article weeks ago and I've lost whatever my ideas and momentum was in writing it.

I'm publishing it anyway.

No Leaders

Soldier vs Warrior

A soldier stands 'at attention' when ordered to, so they can await their next order and a command to be 'at ease.'
A warrior is never at ease, nor do they need to be always ready to stand 'at attention.'
No need for orders makes the Warrior more capable of withstanding the unexpected, and operate on the fly unimpeded, lacking the additional requirement to await any further orders.
A Warrior is their own sergeant when it's needed.
But the Soldier needs a sergeant to be useful.

Diana - a personal tribute and reflection

Time is too slow for those who wait,
too swift for those who fear,
too long for those who grieve,
too short for those who rejoice,
but for those who love, time is eternity.

-- read by Lady Jane Fellowes at the funeral of Diana

An End to Ordinary History

An excerpt for non-profit educational and discussion purposes from an interview Lt Col Michael Aquino did on 5/23/16 on the RonPaulOrDie channel.

Dr Michael Aquino authored a paper in 1980 when he was a Major and Director of Research for the head of PSYOPS at the Presidio SF, Colonel Paul Valley - now Fox News Military Analyst. Aquino reveals for the first time that Esalen founder Michael Murphy introduced him to Steve Donovan, who shared his para-psy research from the Russians. Esalen spin-off the Transformation Project was the foundation of MindWar and the subsequent book.

Adi Newton & His Various Aural Endeavours

You may wonder why I'm linking this fellow, Adi Newton. Well... his early proto-industrial, post punk musical performances and recordings deserve further exploration. Serial cannibal, rapist, snuff video producer and ex-US army homosexual Jeffrey Dahmer was a big fan of one of Adi's first successful musical ventures, A proto-EBM / Industrial band named Clock DVA.

Apart from this extremely unsavory link to one of the most infamous serial killers from the 1980's, Adi maintains experimental practices in the arts and sciences of sound to this day. His studious and erudite devotion towards audio visual arts, art history and fringe areas of scholarship are testimony to what I believe is his core purpose for an obsessively transgressive career spanning over 4 decades: he's investigating art and music as potential magickal methods for control.. The control of perception, or otherwise.. undiscovered aspects of control.. using sciences, techniques, aesthetics we can only dream? of..

Adi is dedicated and prolific in his practices, and at times displays a depth of intellect and knowledge which is truly admirable. A post on his blog titled "There Are Certain Books" is one such example and once I read it, I was convinced there was more to this man and his obscure, esoteric artistic practices than we could glean on from a surface-level reading.

Goodbye

On Suicide: a post by Daniel Clarke-Serret published on his substack "Guerre and Shalom"

"And then we turn to Christ: suicide embodied on a cross. Oh how many chances he had to avoid this cruelest of fates! But yet he persisted, living in pursuit of the honourable death. He chose to stir the crowds and enliven the masses. He chose to voyage to Jerusalem; to provoke the traders; to remain silent under questioning. One behaviour to the left or right could have changed his fate, but he chose the path of certain death. And even there in Calvary, this supposed Son of God could have vanished into Heaven, but he elected to suffer for an Earthly ideal. Martyrdom for a better world. A death in concordance with his values. A suicide of hope over despair."
