Mandarin oranges as a tax return gift / ふるさと納税返礼品の蔵出しみかん

in #japanese2 years ago

I recently wrote about the sweet potatoes I received as a gift from hometown tax payment.

Today we received Kuradashi Mikan from Shimotsu-cho, Kainan City, Wakayama Prefecture. Kuradashi Mikan means oranges harvested at the end of the year and stored in storage boxes for 2 to 3 months before shipping. It is said that ripening the citrus in the storehouse mellows the acidity and increases the sweetness. We received 1 box and it will be gone soon because my children love mandarin oranges.

Speaking of hometown taxes, I have not yet completed my tax return this year. This is because I haven’t finished calculating my cryptocurrency profit and loss. ..

I use Gtax to calculate my cryptocurrency profit/loss. Since the number of transactions is large even though the profit is not so large, and I have had a very difficult time trying to calculate it all at once in the past, so I have tried to enter each transaction at the time of its occurrence as much as possible in the last year. Even so, it seems that there is still a mistake somewhere, and the balances do not match… For me, who is prone to unaccounted-for expenses even in my household account book, calculating the profit/loss of cryptocurrency is quite a challenging task.

I’ll be working on a steady stream of transaction history reviews later tonight.

Those mikan are looking good. There’s something about them… it’s difficult to eat just one. My kids love them as well.
I’ll be heading to the tax office next week to do my returns. I know it must be so much easier to do E-tax but there’s so much I don’t understand. I feel relieved when I go in. Lol

My kids also eat two or three at a time. Mandarins don't last very long, so I let them eat them as they like.

I think going to the tax office is a good idea. Etax is good in that you can do it at home, but it's still not the easiest to use. Last year I had trouble getting the apps to work together and had to repeatedly log in and log out which was very frustrating 😂

They're really delicious. You know just a few days ago, a neighbor gave me some Haruka oranges. Do you know that type? It was my first time to have them. They look like lemons but they are so sweet and tasty. I bet if they could be peeled as easily as mikan, my boys would go for more. We got a few but now I'm so interested in them.

I hope to understand stuff a little bit more so I can eventually do Etax. Right now I wouldn't be able to handle the frustration. Haha!
There's good customer service at the office and foreigners are able to make reservations requesting service in English. Still, I hope to eventually save myself the trip. Lol

This is the first time I've heard about Haruka Mikan! I looked it up on the internet and it looks like a dekopon.

I finally finished my tax return today. It was much easier to finish than last year (I didn't have to log in and log out repeatedly), so maybe the system has improved. I hope it will be easier for everyone to file.

😃Congrats on finishing. I know the feeling you get when it’s all down and out of the way. I’m happy the process was a smooth one.

Yes, the haruka looks like a dekopon with a lemon color. The ones I got had very small seeds (which I almost ate as the fruit was just too good😂)
The white part of it that covers the pulp has a crisp to it. It adds texture to the sweet taste. I love it! I could eat several like mikan.
