Though I always feel really shy talking about stuffs like this , but I'll really love to share a routine on how I take care of oneself during ones time of the month .

Being a lady comes with a lot of challenges such as hormonal imbalance as a result of pregnancy, menopause and mensuration as a teen I haven't had much experience except for the mensuration ,I'll experience the rest when am older.
I usually monitor my cycles using a period monitoring apps so I don't get unexpected flows , as that can be very frustrating ,annoying and embarrassing especially when it happens in public, honestly no one wishes for that .
Hydration is a very necessary step in taking care of one's self during mensuration , I drink plenty of water during this time ,as it help replenish blood and help in cleaning ones system. Most people prefer to take warm water during this time as they say it reliefs pain.
Secondly, I try as much as possible to engage in any form of exercise at this time to keep my body active. It also helps to regulate the mensural cycle ,reduces or reliefs pain and brighten once mood .
Also , eating balance diet especially foods enriched with vitamin and minerals such as fruits and vegetables .They help in keeping one strong and healthy during this times
During ones period most people become very sensitive and often experience mood swings ,this is because hormonal changes have some effects on the brain which can lead to moodiness which could also be as a result of fatigue and cramps. I usually distract myself with other activities like listening to music, meditation or a warm bath whenever I feel that way
A good sleep is also very necessary as it helps your body recover due to the changes occuing In your system, it also help in reducing and relieving cramps pain so as to help you maintain a better mood .
