Crypto Startup Jambo Raises $30 Million

in #leofinance3 years ago

A cryptocurrency startup known as Jambo which was only started a few months ago has already raised millions with the intention of eventually becoming a super hub for the digital economy in Africa, a super app if you will. It might eventually turn into the WeChat of Africa if it succeeds.

This is one region that is among the fastest growing for cryptocurrency adoption and economy. Jambo has been working on a non-custodial wallet being developed on Polygon, and working on testing play to earn games which are just the beginning. There is work being done on multiple fronts to help advance and onboard more new users to this market.

They've got plans to onboard hundreds of thousands of customers, eventually looking to millions of users.

There are already over 300,000 signups and there is a plan for a launch later this year.

There are also plans for a token by the same name as the company to eventually hit the market as well. They already set up in multiple countries and are growing quickly, the demand seems to be there.

From partnering with social media companies so that users can earn tokens while watching content on the app, there will be multiple ways that it enables people to earn.

Education is Key

There are plans to push for education across Africa as well. Education is at the core of what Jambo is looking to get involved with, they know the importance of educating the user base before monetization can occur. And for this reason they are launching classes on web3 to multiple universities in Africa.

They are looking to ultimately build a web3 super app that is going to increase those opportunities for crypto based income opportunities. There are already millions of people who have experimented with play to earn games and this is one of the most effective onboarding tactics for the crypto market overall around the world. Game entertainment value is universal and can help to greatly expand crypto interest.

It is amazing to see how successful this company has been already in such a short amount of time and there is still plenty of great things expected to come from them if they succeed at their goals.

It might eventually turn into the WeChat of Africa if it succeeds.

I searched for WeChat, and according to the Mozilla Foundation, "TikTok, WeChat and thousands of other apps from China look harmless but are, in fact, malware, experts say. The apps cleverly disguise their origin".

I am happy and glad that I have not tried WeChat so far. Nor TikTok.
