I lived in that spot for many years. January is usually the time with higher humidity. This is really bad. I know a lot of people losing homes and business right now. Terrible stuff
Yeah, I think this was a culmination of environments (wind, humidity, no rain for some days) that in conjunction with a fire in the wrong place and direction, just made the entire place hazardous.
And its winter time... which was what completely made the situation less worse. In the summer these conditions would be wildly worse!
its been wet the last few years so a lot of fuel grew everywhere and no its dried up. Seriously out of whack. The Runyon fire is pretty crazy if you think about that too.
