As soon as a reasonable candidate presents. Most female presidential candidates don't make it through the process because they have not appealed to voters to become the nominee.
In this election Harris did not have to go through the usual process, she was just appointed as the candidate because only she could legally use the campaign money Biden had. In previous elections, she was not at all popular with voters.
Hillary Clinton was also not popular. She was the nominee by using influence to force the party to choose her.
Of all the women in politics today, I think Tulsi Gabbard has the best chance at being a natural nominee. But things could change in the next four years.
