At the heart of Across is UMA’s Optimistic Oracle, a critical piece of technology that ensures the bridge remains trust-minimized and secure. This oracle verifies transaction data in a decentralized and cost-effective manner. Rather than relying on immediate on-chain validation, the Optimistic Oracle operates under the assumption that most relayers act honestly.
Challenges are only triggered if discrepancies are detected, allowing the system to maintain security without sacrificing speed. This unique design ensures that Across can offer near-instant transfers without compromising the trustless nature of its architecture. The P0x writing competition had a $1500 prize pool, in USDC and ACX tokens, but we boosted the prizes because we are cool. The best articles will win a share of both, but there are extra chances for those that didn't won a prize through lucky dip and the X contest.

We had fun to rate all the articles that were shared on Discord. Everyone is a winner with Across, and every creator that joined the server to share their work was tipped immediately with 5 ACX. When the event finished, we started reading again!
The Across CEC had a though decision to make, as all entries covered important aspects about Across. We carefully evaluated the entries based on their overall quality, unique storytelling, creative use of memes, and how effectively participants shared their personal experiences of using the bridge.
Each piece brought its own perspective, showcasing not only the technical and practical aspects of Across but also the enthusiasm of our vibrant community! In the end we decided rank the articles in tiers, each with a different $ACX allocation.
