Is Ethereum alive?

Hello!

I've found an interesting post in twitter from the user Juan Téllez @Juan_Web3. In the post he shows the details about the evolution of ETH and the recent price action. In the post it shows some data about the ETH/BTC ratio that has fallen from 0.08 to 0.03 in the last 2 years. The ratio is actually sitting at 0.036 which is real close to the floor.

Another metric that is interesting to follow is the Ethereum balance on exchanges. You can see it in the chart below:

The suppy in the exchanges has been falling since September 2020, however if we take a look at the last months the supply has stabilized. This is not a good sign. Normally in the bull markets we have a decrease of the Ethereum balance on exchanges until the Ethereum price moves higher and then it switches upwards, so more Ethereum is added to the Exchanges. Consequently the price of Ethereum falls again due to the increase of supply.

It all can change very quickly but I would like to see this trend of downward supply on exchanges.

In my opinion, Ethereum is not dead,:) it is just currently in a consolidation phase that reflects market uncertainty. Welcome to the 2025 bull market, may we all be successful.

I don't know why in this cycle ethereum is starting late and it touched 4k once and again back but with its ETF experts are expecting the price to be 8-10k usd. Do you think that it's a possibility?

Truly not a good sign for Ethereum, I don't seem to know why. Perhaps it's going to be different in this cycle, or maybe it's going to change quickly as you've said

I think Ethereum will rise too. This 2025 will be epic.

I agree, I was just disappointed seeing it hit 4k only to retrace very hard.
