Welcome to this weeks update from the @spinvest-leo account. This wallet manages a small portion of the overall @spinvest fund, and sends HIVE back to @spinvest each week to contribute to the pool of funds for dividends. This wallet is managed by @jk6276
Position changes this week:
No changes to note this week. The main thing I did this week was convert basically all harvests back to HIVE, and not compound anything, to get a clear picture of the income these positions generate. I have been targeting 100 HIVE per week, and moving funds around to get there. But I wanted a stable week to get a clear picture of if these positions are actually generating 100 HIVE per week - and the answer is - not quite. More on that below.
Current holdings:
SPS/BNB pool - $907 (down $42 from last week)
SPS/HIVE pool - $950 (down $22)
Staked SPS - $242 (down $10)
BXT/HIVE pool - $351 (down $24)
Staked BXT - $227 (down $56)
HIVE (liquid and powered up) - $225 (unchanged)
vexPOLYCUB - $47 (up $1)
BNB liquid in wallet - $13 (unchanged)
Commentary:
As for the income breakdown, basically I generated roughly 60 HIVE from SPS yield, BXT yield, and post payouts combined. Factoring in the daily drip from the EMP generator contract, un-pooling those drips adds around 25 HIVE to the income. So the income generated in reality is 85 HIVE. So, by sending 100 HIVE a week to go to the dividend pool for @spinvest, the wallet is actually going backwards a bit each week. Yields from the pools and defi always trend lower over time, so at the current rate I will either need an injection of funds to boost the wallets asset balance, to make the 100 HIVE per week more sustainable, or to give up on the 100 HIVE target and reduce that to a more sustainable level. Open to suggestions here.
My goal for this wallet has always been to generate income to boost the dividend yield for $SPI. The main account run by @silverstackeruk focusses on asset growth and long term investments over time, @shitsignals builds a gaming portfolio, and @spinvest-leo builds an income wallet. But with the current set up, maintaining the 100 HIVE per week is probably not sustainable.
Something to note is that this wallet manages around 2.35% of the overall Spinvest assets, ($3000 out of $137,000 total) but is contributing around 40% of the dividend (100 HIVE out of $250 total)
Long story short, I need to either increase the funds managed in the @spinvest-leo wallet, or drop the 100 HIVE per week down.
Let me know what you think.
Totals and conclusion:
- Total asset value last week: $3122
- Total asset value this week: $2962
- Weekly gain/loss: decrease of $160
100 HIVE sent to @spinvest for weekly dividends.
