Spinvest-leo weekly update post - 16 September 2023

in #leofinancelast year

Welcome to this weeks update from the @spinvest-leo account. This wallet manages a small portion of the overall @spinvest fund, and sends HIVE back to @spinvest each week to contribute to the pool of funds for dividends. This wallet is managed by @jk6276. The main focus of this account is to generate yield to contribute to the weekly dividends for holders of SPI tokens. Our current target is to send 100 HIVE per week back to @spinvest. Primary holdings are positions in SPS liquidity pools, along with some Hive engine based investments.

Position changes this week:

The only change this week is the continued slow exit from staked BXT. I unstake a little each week, and the main goal is to grow the HIVE/SIM LP. The yield here is nice, with 30% APR on the SIM portion (referred to as SIM power) paid as liquid HIVE every day, with another 20% on the full pool balance, paid daily as SIM. the other thing I like about this pool is that SIM is fairly stable in price, and any impermanent loss is very minor. If SIM ever booms in price, that means we gain more HIVE - not a bad thing at all.

Current holdings:

  • SPS/BNB pool - $855 - up $3

  • SPS/HIVE pool - $842 - up $19

  • SPS/ETH pool - $898 - down $4

  • SIM/HIVE pool - $224 - up $37

  • BXT/HIVE pool - $845 - up $79

  • Staked BXT - $136 - down $5

  • HIVE Power - $234 - up $25

  • Miscellaneous - $66 - up $1
    (vexPOLYCUB, liquid ETH & BNB)

Asset exposure

Using the above values, and splitting pool positions into their components, we can calculate the total exposure to each asset for this wallet.

  • SPS - $1298 - 32%

  • BNB - $434 - 11%

  • ETH - $475 - 12%

  • HIVE - $1190 - 29%

  • SIM - $112 - 3%

  • BXT - $559 - 14%

  • vexPOLYCUB - $34 - 1%

Commentary:

Well, the surprise winner for the week is the BXT/HIVE pool. HIVE is up a little, and it will be interesting to see if it can hold back over the 30c mark.

What we really need for this wallet to fire up a bit is for SPS to rally. Back up over 2c would be nice, time will tell I guess if being heavy in the SPS pools for our wallet size has been a good move or not.

Everything else is just chugging along, and it was nice to see a little gain this week. Lets see what the week ahead brings.

Totals and conclusion:

  • Total asset value last week: $3945
  • Total asset value this week: $4100
  • Weekly gain/loss: Up $155 - 👍

100 HIVE sent to @spinvest for weekly dividends.
