Hello SPIers, here we are on week 9 of the XV token sale with only 2 weeks remaining. Let's have a look and see how things are going so far.
What is the TOP 15 token? (XV)
XV is a 2-year HODL token. All HIVE collected from issuing XV tokens are converted into a basket of 15 cryptos ranked within the top 50 on coingecko. The token sale lasts for 10 weeks with 6 weeks remaining and each token is sold for 1 HIVE each.
After SPinvest stops issuing XV tokens, the remaining will be burnt and we wait 2 years. During this time, we HODL the basket, it gets rebalanced and as we enter into the next bullrun it should grow in value. After 2 years have passed, I sell the basket and convert it into HIVE. I work out the HIVE value per XV token and buy the tokens back on hive-engine to wind the project down.
SPI takes a 5% cut of the profits for actively managing the project for 2 years, rebalancing the assets, updating posts for investors, etc.

XV Token sale Update - Week 9 of 10
This week we did ok and got a nice boost from a couple of old SPI investors. We sold 2603.04 XV tokens this week which is the second-best week we've had. This converted into over $1000 and has now been allocated into the basket.
See below how XV token sales have been going the past 9 weeks.
XV token Basket allocations
First off we look at the Binance rebalancer that contains the top 10 crypto in our basket. Ideally, all 15 would be in this but it has a 10 crypto limit.
The rebalancing bot this past week has made no sells or buys so the tokens in our selection have all moved in sync together. I am still trying to source somewhere else that will do auto-balancing for after the XV token sale has finished but it's not easy and Binanace have done a really great job with this software.
Next is our remaining 5 crypto that are held in my spot wallet and being manually rebalanced.
I manually rebalanced the 5 above to $151.95 around 18 hours back and we can already see movement. Everything is up, FTM and STX are up the most which the other 3 up a little.
STX has been a tricky customer the past 3-4 weeks. I think it is a good project and hope that their platform grows as we head into the next bullrun in a few years. It had fallen out of the top 50 for 3 weeks and dropped to 56th at one point but has since climbed back to 46th. If a token in out basket is out of the top 50 for 4-5 weeks, chances are it'll be replaced. I leave it a few weeks because its not unnormal for crypto to hover between 15-20 ranked places.
I still happy with the swap from DOT to ARB. I has preformed well for us the past 4-6 weeks and being a new 2nd layer ETH token, we hope it can mirror the success that MATIC and SOL had last bullrun.

Let's have a quick look and see how the XV is currently valued in HIVE. I dont have high hopes because were down a little bit in dollars but if HIVE is down more, we will have a gain.

WHY?
Do you wanna make some freaking money? Making money with XV is easy, you buy, you hold for 2 years and then we'll buy them back from you for an inflated price. I think we can 3-5x your HIVE investment easily.

We buy low and we sell high. I think most would agree with me and say we could assume BTC that is $30k today hit $100k in 2025 when the next bullrun comes around, this is a 3x ROI. ETH could hit $10k and 5x from today. We could assume that the tokens in our basket if they hit new time highs will give a 5-10x ROI.

Because XV is priced in HIVE and HIVE is a low marketcap token. This gives us a chance to profit from XV after XV has finished. Let me share it with you.
BTC leads the pack when it comes to crypto price actions up are down. ETH and higher ranked maketcap tokens will close soon after, maybe in a few days to a few weeks. Mid-ranked tokens will follow after that and low-ranked marketcap will follow and be last to the party or funeral.
There is roughly a 4-6 months gap between BTC's peak and HIVE's peak. When BTC hit $64k in April 2021, HIVE was priced at $0.45. It dropped to $0.24 mooned the next 2 months and then mooned to $2.87.
I want to finish and wrap up XV when BTC is peaking out and before HIVE starts to moon. I think it's realistic to buy back XV in 2 years' time for 5+ HIVE and all you will have to do is hold that HIVE for 6 months and wait for it to be 5-10x in dollars terms.
