2nd Edition of the VOCUP Token Issued; HPUD Completed on Time & HP Tripled in Four Months

As announced in our last post, the first series of the second edition was issued on December 1st, 2022.

Series A (the first series) of the 2nd Edition of VOCUP tokens number 100 tokens.
2nd Edition price is $10 HIVE (Swap.Hive) per token.
The current Total Supply is 300 tokens.

We decided to divide the second edition of VOCUP tokens into four series (series A, B, C, and D) to avoid, as much as possible, the possible drop-down of payout rewards.

As the reward is calculated in relation to the Total Supply by new edition issuance, that number (of Total Supply) increases while the percentage of token share for every token holder decreases.

For example, if a token holder was holding 10 VOCUP tokens (before December 1st, 2022, when Total Supply was 200 tokens), his/her token share was 5%.
After December 1st, 2022, when the Total Supply increased to 300 tokens (by issuing 100 Series A tokens of 2nd edition), the same token holder with 10 VOCUP tokens now has 3.33% of token share.

Therefore, if we released the whole quantity of the 2nd Edition tokens at once, the percentage of token share for each token holder would be even smaller.

Although unexpected and quite a large sale of the 1st Edition tokens that happened in the last four days of November by which our curation power (HP) increased, should compensate for the lower percentage of token shares and keep the payout amount of liquid HIVE at least on the same level as it was for the previous month (November), by splitting the 2nd Edition into four series, we wanted to ensure that scenario even more.

Powering Up - HPUD Completed on Time

Furthermore, and keeping in mind what was just said above, we "pulled" another "safety lever" by bringing in an additional amount of our own money, and instead of only 100 HIVE (as we usually did every 1st of the month) we poured in and powered up the account with another 250 HIVE.

We made this power-up on December 1st (2022), by which the HPUD (Hive Power Up Day) requirements were completed on time and brought us a new Power Up Day badge for December 2022 from HiveBuzz.

We hope all of these (added power-up amount and the 2nd Edition split into four series) will be good enough to ensure steady payouts with a slight increase in continuation (as seen in the first couple of months of this project).

HP (Curation Power) Tripled in Four Months

It was only two weeks ago when we published that our "Curation Power Doubled in Less Than Four Months."

In our wildest dreams, we didn't think it would triple only a week later. But it did, and at the time we are writing this, our active curation power is something above 2,228 HIVE. The total HP is something above 2,328 HIVE due to about 100 HIVE delegated to the @ecency (curation account).

This success is not ours only. It's your success, too!
