A lot of people have heard this statement from someone who cared about you, "Persue your Passion". The actual meaning of passion can be stated as follows.
a strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept.
When someone who cared about you is telling you this is to make sure you earn from doing what you love to do and make it as an income. Almost everyone is trying to do what they love as a freelancer or a full-time or just volunteering for what they love most to do. When it comes to me, my thoughts will not be accepted by many I think because it contradicts with the thoughts and beliefs of others. I believe in no matter what you call it, it's work and we have to do it for our entire life until retirement. Even though we love it, but work is work. My view is doing what you love for your entire life makes it less miserable than those who do work with out passion. Nonetheless it's just work.
From my childhood, I too have passion to become a game developer. I choose my Engineering in computers just to gain knowledge of the base I should possess to become a game developer. But, destiny has other plans for me. With the time being without job, I began to lost in my own thoughts searching for answers within for the questions about life. I recall a great statement which I had thought at that time of thinking.
As long as your sitting seat is comfortable, any work is just another way of earning money.

The above statement is my own. It states that even though the so called passion work cannot be done when your sitting chair is not comfortable. Whenever I feel down in completing a work, I just stand up and walk for five minutes just clear my mind. My passion is any work is a work which is essential for our pay check for every month. In real world most of the people end up not persuing their passion and settle for a different job. They may be doing that because of their family or for their own reasons.
Eventhough if one get their passion and click with it, they need to be doing that their entire life which is not acceptable. When I recall my school days, all our friends are showing interest in persuing some high profile jobs. But now most of them are business persons. Something happened in between those days and now. It maybe they didn't have the necessary skills to land their passion jobs or maybe their situations. It all comes to our inner self and if it is happy then where ever we are doesn't matter, we would be happy.
My point is not all have the inner peace, those who have it can be happy in hell too. Passion is just another word for the justification of doing what they wanted to do. Our society manipulates our brain to think like having passionate jobs only gives you happiness, but they are wrong. The feeling of understanding every where work is work makes it more comfortable for us to work. These are my own thoughts and in no way that my thoughts are meant to offend anyone.
