I remember when we were kids we loved going to the farm to play. I was with my cousins exploring the farm to find something for us to enjoy. The things we enjoy doing on the farm are looking for fruit to eat, looking for insects to play with, and hunting mice and wild birds for us to eat as well.
That's how simple our fun was when we were young. It is not like this that the things done by young people are complicated because of the number of gadgets they own. For me, it is not good to expose children to gadgets because their personal socializing skills are not developed. When children are often on their gadgets, they are only playing online games, which is why they lose the chance to interact with other children.
The games we played when we were young were types of games that encouraged physical exercise. It seems that our body gets stronger because we have active movements while we play. We also develop communication skills because what we played when we were kids required us to have a conversation with teammates. For us to play the game properly we need to coordinate with our teammates. While doing so, we also develop a camaraderie with other kids which is a good way to nurture teamwork.
If you ask me, I wouldn't trade my experience with games when we were young. I learned a lot that I used until I got older. I think it also helped me to be confident when it comes to talking to other people.
Gadgets cannot provide enough knowledge to children. Social skills are especially old. When children are exposed to gadgets they become meek. Having physical games will help young people to be confident when it comes to facing the challenges of life.
I want to share this amazing quote from Agatha Christie:
"One of the luckiest things that can happen to you in life is, I think, to have a happy childhood."
