The fear of "nothing"

Because of my stubbornness, I had a cough today, the reason is that I ate a pint of ice cream, wtf!? There comes a time when I really crave ice cream so much that I will actually finish a pint in one sitting. Seriously, I feel like I'm really starving, so what I learned last night is not to let yourself crave too much before eating food. Or maybe be disciplined when it comes to eating even though I'm very hungry. What happened to me was that I had a cough so my throat was a bit sore. I hate having a cough because it's embarrassing when other people hear me. Other people will think I have the coronavirus, lol. Because of the pandemic, we are now having fear of normal diseases such as flu or cough.

It's funny that when someone next to us sneezes, we move away immediately or cover our nose so we don't inhale the virus. We have had an intense fear that's why we worry too much. I actually watched a video on TikTok where a person sneezed inside the car, which is why the other passengers couldn't control their anger because they were afraid of getting infected with whatever virus the person who sneezed had. Actually, it is normal to sneeze because there may be a foreign substance or object that has entered our nose, which is why it can only be extracted using sneezing. The case is that people immediately think that the person who sneezed has covid.

That's why when I'm out I try not to cough because the people around me might think I have a virus, haha. Although I do have a cough (and maybe have a virus too) it's just from eating a pint of ice cream and I can guarantee that I don't have a virus.

I doubt if people will listen to my explanation, that's why I refrain from coughing in public, especially when there are people close to me. If I cough I will go to a place where there is no one nearby to hear me. It's frustrating when other people have a judgment on my condition just because of a simple cough.

Anyway, I hope the fear will disappear when it comes to that virus. Let's just accept that this is a simple disease that can be treated with simple over-the-counter drugs.
