A busy day

It has been a hectic day since morning and I was wondering if today I will get a chance to write something or no, it's almost evening, but better late then never. I like to publish my post before my lunch time which is around 2 p.m. because after that then I feel lazy to write and my mind also slows down. Today I could not have my lunch also. Anyways I was not keen on lunch today as I was planning for a 24 hours fasting. Work took up my time and that did not make me realize how the lunch time passed away. Normally when it's 2 I get this automatic hunger cramp triggers, because that's how my body is now accustomed to the meal patterns. My lunch is the first meal of the day after previous day dinner. I follow the 16 hour intermittent fasting practice, which I have been doing it since now almost 15 years and I have seen some amazing results for myself.

There are times when my night meals get very heavy due to socializing, on such days then I prefer to go for 24 hours fasting. Yesterday's dinner meal was a regular one but I was still feeling bloated and heavy and not my original self. Right now, after this long fasting period I am feeling much better. I have few more hours to go before I have my first meal of the day and I am sure by that time I will be very much ok with myself. I prefer listening to my body rather then following the clock. For me it is not like, I have to eat all meals on time, I do have a schedule and I follow that but when my body does not feel ok, I customize those schedules as per my body need.

Today I had to complete one survey for one of my office clients and that took up almost 6 hours to complete. I was on it since morning and finally got done. Sent them all the data required, it was an exhaustive survey on Sustainability practices that our company follows. This survey is hosted by a company called Ecovadis. It is a French company and their objective is to drive companies towards following sustainability practices which are based on 4 main criteria's which are Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. They asses the companies on each of these parameters as to what are the sustainability measures being taken which can have a positive impact on our planet.

It is not a one time activity, it's an ongoing process that companies have to follow and then once a year take this assessment and get a score and badge from Ecovadis. Many companies nowadays if they want to do business with you, they would ask for the Ecovadis score, and if you do not have or it's a low score then they may choose not to do business with you. Especially for the manufacturing units where the carbon footprint is high.

I could have taken a few days to complete this but I wanted to complete it today because day after I have guests coming over and then once they leave my son comes, so for the next 2 weeks it's like going to be occupied with them and then I would not have so much time to focus on this activity. So better it got completed, now I am relieved.

Today is also Oman's National Day, the whole city is decked up with light. Later in the evening I plan to go with hubby for a drive to see the lights.

Intermittent fasting is really great for the system. Sometimes, I do wonder why we have to eat three times a day? It feels too much, I'm not always hungry between one meal to another.

I too believe the same and I feel amused when people keep talking of this compulsory breakfast thing, or those small portion frequent meals. That way of food habits has never gone well with me

I want to do intermittent fasting because I have heard and seen good results, but ... well, I just have to start! And you've been doing it for 15 years? WOW! I am inspired, sis @nainaztengra !

Thank you my dear, Over the years it has become way of life and whenever I fall out of it, my body feels weird and not very good, especially during festival and travels when schedules are disturbed.
It's never too late to start, do it for 3 months and you will see good results and then never want to leave it.
