Settling in Peace

in #life4 days ago

Our human nature is very weird, we always desire what we do not have, as it is said, grass is always green on the other side. People from villages want to come to the city and people from city want to get back to villages. Since the time I have my house here in the mountain area, I just do not feel like going back to the city. I love to live here even if I am all by myself. I spend a lot of time in the garden and taking nature walks.

3 years back when we started our house project and bought this piece of land here, the surrounding area was so much empty, but now when I look around there are so many other houses also. Even the village has changed so much in the past 3 years, when I bought this place, there were no proper roads, no electricity connection and no water connection. There was electric supply but no proper cables set for our society. Electricity cables were being laid that time, so that was one good thing, else without proper electricity infrastructure it would had been a challenge and may be I would had not considered taking this place. Yes there are issues with the electricity supply, and for this reason I also got my home solar powered, which is the best decision we have made.

Till date we do not have a direct water connection and we have to call for water tankers. When the house structure was being made, we also got the borewell done though no much water comes out from it. In monsoon it is good but after that it is a challenge. We have also got rain water harvesting system done, but then that will take couple of years for the system to start operating.

In city, we live in small cramped up homes, also when I get out the roads are so congested and there is noise of traffic everywhere. When I come here it's just me dealing with myself, all I hear is the sound of birds chirping. It takes me back to my childhood times when I would visit one of my aunt's home in a very remote place, though that time I was not enjoying that, because there was not much to do there. But now I want to settle in such a place permanently.

On the other hand there are so many village people who want to move to cities. Here people ask me if there are any job opportunities in the city and they will like to move. When I give my home on airbnb for short rentals I see majority of the people who come here for short breaks most of them are only interested in drinking and partying. Here there are no music restrictions so they can play music at loud volumes till late night.

There are barely any people who enjoy the nature around. I give them tips to go for nature walks and treks on the nearby hills, but no one does that, as soon as they come they put on loud music and then it's the same chaos. I wonder sometimes why people have stopped enjoying silence and not enjoy just the sound of nature. Today is the full moon and I am so happy to be here in the peaceful place where I can harness the energy of the moon.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Time never stops but in reality everything changes as other people come to live in the place where you live. And after 3 years you will not find much space vacant here because you will see clock houses everywhere and people and children everywhere.

I love to take out time yo enjoy nature, the cool breeze from evening stroll or the sound of wind or waterfall.. I can't trade this feelings for anything

Me too, It is like the best feeling

Many people want to move to the city and when they finally do, they see reason why they should have stayed back..

It's only when you actually experience it you will understand if it suits you or not, till then everything is a fantasy.

Most people have weird choices and wants. Maybe that's the reason why most people don't go along well. !BBH

Everyone is different in their choices, I will not say anything is right or wrong, it's just about what suits me

❤️

Opposite side of the river must have more green grass than here.🤣 Yes human mind is weird. Naina ji young people love chaos unlike matured ones. After a certain period of time everyone gonna like the silence.😀

True, it all changes with age. As we grow older and are done through all the madness of life then we start looking for peace

Hehehe we cant have it all right? But yeah....a city home in the middle of the country side with all the perks and quircks of rhe city but the peace and calm of nature...yeah..that would be it!!

That would be just so ideal, last night while taking a walk in my garden I was thinking about this only, that wish I had this same home in the city with some nature around, even if it was not this much it would be ok, life would still be plesant.

oh yeah, it's really so
what is great for us can be the worst for others
just the same I dream of a house, and some people dream of my flat in the city;)

True, we are always wanting what we do not have. But honestly I am very happy with what I have now and would not want it any other way.

I'm also tired of this city life and would like to move to a village or a peaceful place. But before that I want to reach a position where I don't have to run behind money anymore. That's when I will have real peace.

Absolutely, once you do that then you can be relaxed and live peacefully in the right sense. Money is important in today's world. Even if it is in a village, you will need good amount of money to get resources and maintain the place. That's why I give it partly on Airbnb so that I can get the maintenance cost recovered.
Hopefully 2025 will fulfill your dreams.
