It's hard to stay active and keep writing posts when there is very little going on in crypto at the moment. After all of the ups and downs we seem to be in the eye of the storm right now.
We have had Bitcoin and now Ethereum ETF's approved which are a positive sign. We have confusion in the USA until there is a new president. Signs should be bullish for the rest of the year but the markets aren't following it.
There was great excitement on solana with the memecoin goldrush but that has also died off. Too many rug pulls have killed the money and the enthusiasm to chase riches.
I thought that Ton chain was going to do something exciting since hamster kombat grew so big, so fast but the tap to earn movement seems to have failed to take off since notcoin.
Hive is no better with nothing new on the horizon and nothing to get the community involved. The most excitement i've seen all year has been with splinterlands DHF proposal and the drama around votes for it. It's been along time since anything has riled up the community so much.
We've even seen a few targeted posts which hasn't happened in a long time.
For the record i would like to see the proposal funded. I think that splinterlands have added a lot more value than this to the chain over the past few years and deserve some support back to try and get back on track.
No other app has added as many users or brought in as much money to the chain as splinterlands and if they do fail or move it will hurt hive a lot in the short term. We can probably survive but their team are involved with hive engine, mooncarts, illuvium, and that other soccer game. They have done a lot here.
The hive price is still down in the dumps and while this doesn't bother me in the short term if we don't start adding value back to the chain it will finish us in the long run.
Hopefully hivefest can reignite some passion and show us a few new projects coming down the line. Until then it seems like more of the same.
Outside of crypto i'm looking forward to a couple of nice weeks off from work. We have a 5tth birthday party tomorrow, the galway races on Tuesday and then a week in Chicago for my cousins wedding. Fun times on tha tside of things at least.
Good to get writing a little bit again after some busy weeks and i'll try to get back in the swing of things for the winter.
