There is a chemical plant and a thermal power plant that burns garbage near where I live, the air is very polluted and the death rate of people is higher. That is why it is sometimes useful to go to cemeteries. I will not show you a picture of the cemetery today, although I have one, but I must tell you that it is not a scary place, it is perhaps sad, but it is a place where one can learn many things.
For example, what is the real life expectancy of people in the region. In this cemetery in particular, I saw people who lived to a really old age - up to 90 years old, extremely atypical for this region, which could be a sign of many things. On the one hand, that the locals may be adjusting and getting used to the local conditions. That they adapted to the pollution, so to speak, and as you know, it's always the most adaptable that survive.
As an old woman who worked in the chemical life told me yesterday: I'm a chemist, nothing can kill me (because I've been exposed to all kinds of harmful chemicals in my work for years.)

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
